My toy poodle starts shaking when he's being bathed. I've had him for 4 months (he's 7 monththe old) and he's only been bathed 3 times since he came home. If it was a usual part of his routine, like brushing, I'm sure he'd take it in stride and not shake. So he is stressed during this time, but he feels so good and is happy and back to normal afterward. Sort of like me and the dentist! 😉

I don't understand how to get the dog to stay still. If i even lift his tail to see if there is poop on his hair he flips out. I've tried to hold him still and get another person to check or wipe and he is so wiggly he can't be held. My only thought is maybe we can drug him with melatonin or gabapentin or something. For now trying patience and persistence. Is this something dogs will grow out of, or did I adopt a hypersensitive pup?
