I wanted a Totem for a long time. I bought one a couple of months ago. I potted it in aroid substrate in a pot with a drainage hole. It has grown a lot. I’m thinking about getting another one I love this one so much. It’s beautiful and one of the easiest Philodendrons I’ve ever had. Sincerely, Sherrie C.

This video brings me back to when I first discovered your channel and you worked on your plants and talked through this and that. As a hobbyist, I really enjoyed how much you enjoyed caring for your plants. And I could relate when aspects of the hobby are less enjoyable. As a huge fan, I find myself thoroughly annoyed with people who threaten to unfollow you. Sheesh.

I grow mine in Colorado low humidity ambient, in my living room getting low/medium indirect natural light. In cooler season temps it slows down in growth but otherwise does great! I usually spray newly unfurling fronds every day. No pests issues. Probably my most beloved plant out of my 200.

Oh my poor sweet Tortie!!😫 She was doing beautifully and idek what happened but those roots rotted. I think it was more of a dry rot situation. As of now she's all cut up in a prop box. IF (😭)...I can get her to root I'm definitely trying no drainage!! I am so over almost all philodendrons but that Tortie has my entire heart!!! Had to save this video for my hopefully future pot up of cuttings...🤞🏼💚

I absolutely adore my Tortum! It’s the easiest plant to care for. I have mine in a chunky, soilless philodendron mix and like all my plants, I let it dry out and then water thoroughly. I got it about 6 months ago & it’s tripled in size. There’s always a new leaf unfurling. My plants really appreciate the Sansi grow lights and GT Foliage Focus weakly with every watering. Your baby is gorgeous!!

Out of all the years that you've had your tortum, Australia has only just finally started getting them recently. I got my first one at the start of this year. It's my most coveted plant 😂😂😂😂😂.

Today, I went to Lowe’s and the lady discounted 15 plants for me because the manager just throws plants out, so I paid $157 for 15 plants and one of the plants was a tortum. Most of my plants are in Pon with a little worm castings mixed in the pon. Do you think this plant would make it in Pon in a self watering pot? I remember when you first got this plant. Now, it’s BIG! 🙌👍🙌

I had a tortum that was doing sooo great outside with all of the rain and humidity. Once I brought it into the house, it started to be a real jerk and lose leaves. I was letting it dry out in the house. I wound up getting rid of it but now I’m wondering if I should have just put it in no drainage.
