Zach’s Lawn Care Thanks Zach! It’s easy to maintain once weeds are eradicated.

New sub here. I have a KBG lawn cut low however I am doing a reno for a friend using TTTF. Excited to do it. I will catch up on the rest of your vids soon. 👍🏻💪👊🏼

Awesome to have you as a sub. I hope your project works out well. I think TTTF is easy to grow but you gotta give it some love. Once it’s thick, the weeds are easy to keep out.

Nothing for fungus? I'm surprised you don't have any fungus issues mowing that tall and watering every day.

PLEASE PLEASE Mr. Yardman can you help me...Thanks for sharing such great info. I have a question.. I want to overseed my lawn now .. I am in zone 5 in New York . I went crazy and bought... Pennington Smart Tall Fescue Grass Seed, 20 lb AND Kentucky 31 Fescue 5lb AND Pennington Smart Seed Perennial Rye Grass Seed 3lbs .. My thought was to mix them all together and over seed. If I put the grass seed down when when will I use the fertilizers??? I have Ironite and both PGF complete(16-4-8) and the Miloginate(6-4-0).. when would I use them? Should I put the seed down first and a week later use one of these products?

JoAnn Arizona Hi and thanks so much for your questions. Let me start by saying that I DO NOT have formal training but have been experimenting for almost 2 decades. You grass seed selection is spot on. I love your blend. Perfect for spring to fall green grass. I think you can place the milo down at same time as seed. The fertilizer can be applied as you men, a week later, but I’d recommend even spreading and probably consider a half rate per 1,000 square feet. Hopefully your weed control is already being managed well. Be sure to plant seeds after average historical highs have dropped below 90 degrees at minimum. The cool season turf should thrive much better in 65-70 degree f range. Don’t be afraid to split your seeding application up into two apps too. Half one week one and the other half 10-14 days later, with a split app of fert in between too. As always, keep your seed moist through the entire germination period, 5 minutes per zone about 4 times a day for 14-21 days. The goal is to not let the seed dry out...at all. Watch out for bids eating up your seeds once placed. I hope my informal opinion helps. Once your seeding and germination is complete, consider a preemergent like prodiamine 65 WDG before Thanksgiving and again in March before ground temps average above 50 degrees f. Take care!

Thanks for sharing. I planted the same grass seeds from dirt. Meaning I took up all my old lawn. My Scotts grass lays flat. Is that the way Fescue grass is suppose to be
@yardmanllc72684 жыл бұрын
Marie L. I’d like to see a picture of what you mean by flat. It may not be thick enough or really long. Long tall fescue will lay over but it looks like velvet and stripes nicely.

Awesome looking grass! I bet you don't have water police giving you tickets for over watering. I can only water 2x a week or we get a ticket☹

How many minutes do you water your lawn.
@yardmanllc72684 ай бұрын
I mentioned in the video that I water long enough, 6 days per week, to get about 2 inches of water per week. Syringing is a separate technique for 90 degree weather/soil temp and above to prevent dormancy. How long do you need to water daily to reach / inches per week? It varies as much per zone as there are clouds in the sky. Good luck!

Hello my Lawn Mower wont raise that high. How can I get to raise that high to 4 inch. what can I do?
@yardmanllc72683 жыл бұрын
My mower is a commercial grade. Homeowner mowers might not raise as high. When shopping for a new mower, use mowing height as one of your criterion. Hope this helps.
