I have long healthy hair, and the only tip really is to just be careful with it. You can use dryer, flat/curling iron, you can use stylings, brush it when it’s wet (with tangle teezer!!) , but you should keep it heat protected with a lot of silicones and sprays, you can also dye it with non-permanent dyes to make your natural color darker, or give it certain hue. I’d say the MOST IMPORTANT thing is to keep it safe in the environment you are. For example I wear my hair loose almost always, and the top layer of my hair is the most damaged, because it gets all the sun, wind and cold. I also live in Russia, where we have all four seasons of the year, and I always hide my hair in the coat if it’s winter, and I sun protect it with UV-barrier products when summer. Hope I helped!

Hey, some additional hair care stuff that I found really helped me. 1. To help your sebum, find shampoos that don't use harsh sulphates and conditioners that do not use plastic based silicones that require those sulphates to be washed out. 2. Avoid using towels on your hair. They can be course on your hair and damage it. A cotton shirt is great, just use it to pat your hair, don't rub. 3. Silk pillow cases are incredibly good for your hair. When you move in your sleep, you rub your hair along the cotton fabric, which can damage it.

Well here's a weird thing I have a shampoo that's sulfate free and another normal one (its Garnier avocado shampoo) and the one without sulfates makes my hair rough in the shower, moslty all the shampoos do that But when I use the avacado one it instantly makes it soft. My hair type is dry/frizzy curly
@annamckinney84765 жыл бұрын
@@marzxo-sg9we There's a few possibilities here: 1. Check the ingredients in the Garnier one, it may have silicones in it. 2. The ph of the Garnier one neutralizes the ph in your shower water (hair has a preferred ph balance just like your skin). 3. You have silicone build-up, making it feel rough unless you remove it with sulfates. a. Alternatively, this could also be physically damaged hair that the sulfate-free shampoos have exposed, but the Garnier smooths out. 4. You might have hard water that the Garnier complements well. Most conditioners and many shampoos are full of silicones which are plastic based fillers that fill in the damaged portions of hair temporarily. The only way to remove silicone is with sulfates, something that's very harsh on your hair. A sulfate-free shampoo has to be paired with a silicone-free conditioner (and any other hair products that contain them) in order to work properly. You also have to strip your hair of any leftover silicones which means you need to use one big bad super sulfate wash (Like Suave original shampoo). Going sulfate and silicone-free is a very involved process, since in order to replace the effects of silicons you have to /actually take good care of your hair./ Wash your hair less often, don't use as much dry shampoo to get rid of your hair's natural oils. Try doing an apple cider vinegar rinse a few times a month at the beginning. This will help flatten your hair's cuticle if it's been chemically raised (makes hair shinier/smoother). Use oils (mineral, coconut, argan oil). No heat/dying/bleaching. Protective hairstyles (braids, twists, buns, no tight scalp-pulling hairstyles). Use moisturizing treatments. Get a brush with bristles that actually works on the tangle instead of ripping it out (wet brush, tangle teaser). Silk/satin pillowcase. DRINK WATER, EAT HEALTHY, EXERCISE, AND SLEEP. < All of these have to be done together, at the same time, and maintained for a long period of time for it to work. Your hair isn't going to get better overnight. The Long Hair Community is a great free resource for all things hair, hair science, and hair care. It's how I grew my out my broken platinum bleached chin-length straw hair to butt-length beautiful waves. Start by figuring out your hair type, and go from there. @@marzxo-sg9we The advice given here is great, but if you have curly hair, you should look into the Curly Girl method. Curly hair requires more hydration than straight hair, and there are massive communities online of people who can help you with product recommendations and technique assistance. The biggest tenants of the method are to stop using products that dry your hair out (sulphates), prevent hydration getting in to your hair (silicones) and aren't water soluable (a lot of heavy oils). The styling techniques involve not brushing your hair because that separates the curls and can damage your curl pattern, using scrunching and squishing actions on your hair to encourage the curls to clump together, using conditioner as a leave-in product to help assist in hydrating your curls (though the focus is on making sure your hair is soaking wet throughout the styling process), and using a hold product such as a mousse or gel to seal in that moisture and help your natural curls hold shape.

Removing the sebum too often usually results in your scalp producing even more sebum, a good way to regulate it is by spacing progressively the time between each wash, at first it is not that comfortable and that's why a yarn hat may become handy for the first weeks until your hair stays non-greasy for longer (and less itchy).

I wish my hair dried silky and smooth like yours! I wouldn’t put heat on it either. My hair texture is coarse, curly big & poofy and has been since I was a little girl! Sometimes it looks like I have a perm so I smooth it out with blowouts and irons!

I recently hacked all my long hair off because my head was over heating and the longer it gets the more sensitive my scalp becomes and the more migraines I get, the struggles! I like have long hair because I like doing different plats but with it being summer and my long hair pulling on the sensitive part of my scalp and triggering severe migraines it was either carry on with a migraine that lasts for days or chop my hair Lol. Was a bummer but it'll grow back, this summer has been so awful for people who suffer with chronic migraines 😩 Can't wait for summer to be over, BRING THE RAIN BACK!

I have shoulder length really curly & frizzy hair and yessssss argan oil is the best!! I use two pumps when towel dry and then I put a half pump in to the ends every day to "fingerstyle" my hair (lol it does whatever it wants) but I've been doing this for the past year and it helps sooo much with my dry hair and my curls! I also only try to wash with lukewarm water approx twice a week and it helps so much. I tend to have an oily scalp if I wash too frequently. Another option when I happen to do lots of sports that week is sometimes just rinsing the hair without soap.

Honestly, your hair grows half an inch every month... depending on your age, ethnicity and how you care for it. In the length of time it’s realistic your hair would have grown. I stopped dying my girl because I recently messed up and dyed my hair wrong it looked so discolored that I cut it off. I’m looking forward to having it grown back lol it’s grown a lot tho I have thin and strait hair

Your hair grows crazy fast! I've been growing my hair out from a pixie for 2 years and it kinda feels at that stage below your shoulder where it doesn't look like it's growing! I think maybe I need to start using argan oil to help nourish my dry ends so they don't split as much. I had a look into the Dr organic one but I found it has silicone in it unfortunately, I'm not sure if you are aware of that or it it's something you would avoid in a hair product.

And just remember, if you’ve been washing your hair every day or even every other day, your scalp with be used to that...and it will be REALLY greasy the first month or so of you spacing your washes. Just power through and your scalp with regulate itself...it’ll get less greasy! -someone with hair to their bum.
@pinkitura5 жыл бұрын
Unfortunately this doesn't work for everyone. I, for example, have tried this and powered through about 3-4 months..my scalp didn't "regulate" itself. I am generally a very oil prone person, always been. Used to wash my hair daily when i was a teenager. I tried this method and it doesn't work, i still have to wash it every 2-3 days (if on the 3rd day i have nowhere to be).
@Frog-tl6xn5 жыл бұрын
pinkitura sometimes it’s Bc you’re still washing too often, if you go once a week it could regulate better. It’s just about figuring out your hair

So the tips of my hair are super dry. I know the best option is to get it cut but itll never be this long agaaiinn *hugs hair*.

I have thick hair that grows quickly and my work colleague asked me how do I get my hair to grow and stay thick. I think a lot has to do with diet. I have a varied diet a little bit of everything. Eating those veggies I think defiantly helps. I also never have my hair up tight ever, as I suffer with migraines so if my hair is tight there's a chance it could make me have one. Love this vid, defiantly had some top tips.

I envy all vegans that can take multivitamins and b12 supplements without breaking out 😞 I'm a vegan and those things break me out, I feel like that's a huge part of what makes your hair beautiful.
@runatumlare4385 жыл бұрын
Hi! I had a big problem with breaking out until I learned that some vegan multivitamins contain cyanokobalamin (I believe that's where B12 comes from but not sure) which can make you break out and that you should try multivitamins containing metylkobalamin instead! I switched to a multivitamin called OmniVegan which works really good and is really popular here in Sweden - my skin has gotten so much better! :) It might not be called cyanokobalamin and metylkibalamin in English but you could always Google it - hope this helps!! Love
