How I Hardwired my A119 Dash Cam in my 22RE 1992 Toyota Pickup

Recently added a dash cam to my old Toyota Pickup truck. Many of the install guides are for newer vehicles, so I thought I would make one that gives consideration to the older generations of vehicles.
The install was not as straightforward as I thought it would be, follow along and hopefully you can avoid some of the mistakes I made!

Hey I have the same exact truck with a 22 RE engine… I’m in the process of purchasing it but I wanna make sure it runs and does it have any big mechanical issues before I pull the trigger but that being said I can’t get it to run and stay running. The problem I’m having and only code I’m pulling is the number 13… I’ve researched it I know what it is but I’m wondering from your experience

No experience with that specific code, I had code 41 for my throttle position sensor but that's actually the only CEL I've ever thrown in both my 22RE trucks. 13 looks like it could be related to your ignition, specifically your distributor or even your crankshaft position sensor. Since I've never had to diagnose that one myself I'd be just guessing - the posts on Yotatech are detailed, good luck!
