It's not his credentials as a pilot, though he was well qualified, it's not his great German accent, or even his fun sense of humor, but it's his ability to #HearHim that has blessed ME beyond words that I can express! Elder Uchtdorf's teachings in general conference and elsewhere have helped answer my prayers and brought me closer to Christ. There were times where I didn't think I could go on or when I needed specific answers, and his words were the words of God working through him. I know we have living prophets of God on the earth-like Abraham and Moses, and Dieter Uchtdorf is one of them! Study his words, and ask God and you'll know for yourself! May God bless you! 🙏😊

Just reading through all these comments makes me so happy. I can't help but notice that this right here is one of the many ways the Lord has shown His love to me, by providing me with a community of saints who share a desire to know our Savior. Most of the media as we know is covered with contentious, hate-filled words and conversations, but scrolling through these comments I feel the Lord reminding me that though there is chaos in the world, there is peace in the Kingdom of God. Together we can block out the noise, and we can hear Him. 💗

Same here. In fact it's true of all negative emotions. Fear, anger, despair, hatred, etc. will always drive away the spirit, or more accurately, drive *us* away *from* the spirit.

I hear Him in a very different way,(through small thoughts of what should be done or ideas that just feel right) and yet, we both do hear Him! Both ways, however, are driven through love for Him & others. This is what I love about the gospel so very much ~ it allows us each to be very much an individual, and to know and act in ways that are unique to each person, & yet, as a greater whole, we can be such effective ministers & people, reaching together for the unified goal of coming back to our Father in Heaven, through obedience to the same principles taught to us by one Holy & Perfect Jesus Christ.

I never listened to people because I felt that their advise was not enough for me. So they would call me stubborn but it was because I wanted to hear more then an earthly advise. I wanted to hear the voice of our most trusted people in Heaven. When I heard the voice of the prophet and the apostles, I said, this is what I wanted to hear a long time ago and I found it. Their advises goes deeply to my heart that bring me peace, purpose, hope in my life. If I need comfort I hear the prophet and the apostle voices. Specially in this time of darkness.

This is so true! I know of the effects that gratitude brings in our lives. Gratitude is linked to humility, which humility helps us be open to the blessings and direction(s) that our Heavenly Father desires to give unto all who are willing to receive. This helped me receive the revelation and direction to move to another state, to leave my family for the first time (after serving my mission).

This man is truly a man of God. He’s the only apostle I have ever truly felt the spirit from during general conference. The other apostles often cause me confusion because of various opinions and contradictions that don’t sound right, but when Uchdorf speaks I definitely feel Gods power and voice in my life. Thank you Uchdorf for being such an inspiration to us! 💕 I have been feeling so much doubt about church doctrine recently and once again Uchdorfs words got me out of that mindset. Every ward I have ever attended has shunned me or bullied me out of the ward with judgment because I’m autistic and question things I don’t understand and instead of helping me understand they lecture me, bully me and condemn me. I left the church and became inactive a long long time ago because I’m feeling unwelcome by members and when I talk to relief society or a Bishop it’s no different because I get condemned for my confusion and my concerns and I discovered recently I’m not the only member who is a victim of this. Many members have been shunned, kicked out of the church/wards and/or condemned for asking questions about things they don’t understand. I’m glad I’m not alone but just when I think the church is no longer true, videos like this pop up and I’m reminded that not all the church members and church leaders believe false things and not all of them are as cruel as the cruelty I have faced. Everyone on this feed is so friendly and loving. It isn’t the church that’s the problem, it’s the individual wards and the people running them. Unfortunately for me I have only ever been in judgmental bad wards that are a popularity contest. They preach about charity on Sundays about how they help others but outside church people like me get rejected because we are too complicated to handle or deal with because we have too many problems and are considered too much drama for questioning things we don’t understand. People with mental illness and disabilities just are not welcomed in the church. We get walked on, stepped on and rejected. It’s pushed many of us away from the church. I haven’t felt loved in the church for a long long time but after seeing this video and the comments I see who the true members are. The loving ones I wish were more accepting towards those who struggle with complaints and mental illness and drama. I’m trying to break free of those bad habits but it’s hard when all I get from church leaders is condemnation and hate. There’s no forgiveness, love or mercy in the wards I have come from. I have only ever been around the “Molly Mormon” types who act Christian in church but outside church they only help those they approve of and anyone they don’t want to deal with they leave out in the cold. I hope the prophet can address these issues at the next conference and address that people like me have needs too and how members can’t just pick and choose who they want to help and they can’t just condemn those who question things because people are allowed to question doctrine and it should be explained to them instead of them kicking people out of the church for asking questions.
