I am not a member of the LDS faith, however I have been watching and enjoying many sacrament meetings that have been broadcast online during this time of covid. I choose to not criticize those who are different than me but I choose to find the ways that unite us. I believe President Nelson is a prophet of God and I thank him for taking the time to pray with all of us. I am grateful for our similarities and for those things that unite us. I say these things in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

Over the years I have slowly fallen out of the church, I never stopped believing but I have wandered from the iron rod a bit but over this pandemic I have been able to make my way back. I have put my full heart back into my amazing church. While a have been gone into the church building it’s self because of the pandemic I have been reading my bible more, listening to the music more and praying more. I feel so much better having been able to get myself back to where I am supposed to be with my lord in my heart at all times and I’m so thankful for this church as this is what I have grown up in and while I have wandered I know I will always be able to come back and be with my Eternal family

I still remember where I was two years ago when this message was given. I sat by my little girls bedside at the hospital while listening to President Nelsons speak about the healing power of gratitude. Five days earlier my little one had been severely injured in an accident and lay in a coma while her body healed. I still remember kneeling by her bedside during President Nelson's powerful prayer and I earnestly prayed for the same things he did! That experience and message gave me the courage to continually ask for miracles and thank God for the miracles he sent during the 3 months that followed. We witnessed unprecedented healing up to the day God took her home. It is strange to say that, to witness healing before death. God was merciful in so many ways. Today I listened to this message again on the anniversary of my daughters accident. This message now brings me new perspective. As I follow the gratitude pattern President Nelson exemplified in the video, I thank God for the time I had with my baby. I thank God for her healing. I thank God for all the doctors who extended her life. I thank God I was able to hear her sweet voice again and hear her express her love so many times during those few short months. I thank God for all the financial miracles he sent from such an expensive stay in the hospital and for the countless angels that came to our aide and prayed along with us. I am grateful for and appreciate the children that are living. There is so much to be thankful for...

I have been looking forward to this message of hope all week, and I was not disappointed. I had no idea what President Nelson was going to say, but I had an overwhelming emotional experience last night, wondering about my life, worrying about my future, feeling totally out of control, and battling the effects of isolation - and the Spirit of the Lord Jesus Christ testified of this same truth to my heart: GRATITUDE. I did not know how I would get through another day, and the only answer that brought me any peace was to stop worrying about the future, stop trying to change my circumstances, and simply to be grateful for all of the good things in my life right now. I felt much better today, even rejuvenated. President Nelson spoke at the end of my day in Ukraine, adding a second witness to the truths God had whispered to my heart the night before. I won't soon forget it. #GiveThanks

Over the years, when I’m experiencing particularly difficult adversity, I’ve made a list in my journal of things I’m grateful for. I did this most recently when our house was broken into and someone stole a bunch of my expensive tools. I was also under a lot of stress at work at the time. One night I was feeling especially frustrated. I realized I needed to do the gratitude thing, so I started writing down every little or big thing I could, and as usual after 5-10 minutes everything was put into proper perspective and I felt a lot happier. It works.
@youtubeusername28364 жыл бұрын
Yeah, gratitude is amazing to change our perspectives in life! It’s so easy to focus on what’s going wrong, we often forget what we DO have. It’s not a bad thing to feel negative emotions, the important thing is that we don’t let them define our lives. Thank you for sharing your testimony about this!
@bernardloines71793 жыл бұрын
I do not if this reply is relevant because of the lapse of time. Sometimes adversity is a great teacher. It will teach you how to face adversity and how you can best plan your response to it. Praying is always a good place to start. Talk to God, I mean really talk to Him, be honest and straight with Him and He will help. Remember, He is a Man of "BONE and MUSCLE", and He walks everyday amongst us, and He knows all. And for inspiration, read Job in the Old Testament!!

Count your blessings one by one. While I was away serving our country military. A disgruntled step brother. Wrote fraudulent letters to LDS church headquarters removing both my and my father membership. But Jesus Glory refrains in the truth and the gospel remains true. Having a living Savior and prophet is the gratitude I have knowing the restored gospel is true. LDS membership has asked I get rebaptised and start a new membership. My heart and the Holy Spirit tells me Jesus and Heavenly Father know the truth. But as a American soldier and man of LDS faith and Child Created of Heavenly Father. I give thanks unto Jesus who knows I have lived the gospel and words of wisdom even during war. I was baptised as a young boy. Sealed to parents in LDS church. I believe our Apostle Paul in Acts 20:24 says it best. Merry Christmas 2022 everyone.

This remedy, GRATITUDE, was what healed my wounds. In my darkest times which included the pandemic as I thought all was lost then, it was to leave all the troubles behind and be grateful for what I once had, for those happy moments, even if for a short time, for what I still had at that moment. Everyday, being gratiful for those I met, those I spoke to, the day, the life and for still having a place to lay my head and sleep. Soon, the fear, the bad thoughts, the dispair, all those bad feelings went away and gave place to relief, to hope, and thus I was able to see the light at the end of the tunnel. Just a simple thing, GRATITUDE, changed it all. Thank you Pres Nelson for reminding me of this.

I am most grateful that Jesus Christ is the Redeemer of the world and that he personally has forgiven me and redeemed me from all of my sins. He is the one true light and hope of the world. It is so important to discern truth now, more than ever. Look to Him. He is the Holy One of Israel and the only keeper of the gate. President Nelson's message of hope is much needed, but don't forget to have your own relationship with the Lord. The world is going to get worse and only a connection to Him will lead you in the places you should go.

It’s powerful to lay in my small room on the other side of this beautiful planet, and yet have the prophet speak, as if, directly to me. It felt like he was looking right at me and inviting me personally. I’m grateful for technology and the ability it provides me, to hear the message from the lord’s prophet. I know that Jesus and Heavenly Father loves everyone, all his children. Now, in the past and in the future. Members and non member. Those of his children that know them and that don’t know them. All of his family. I’m grateful to be part of Heavenly Father s family and the love he has for me. #GiveThanks

When our dearly loved Prophet President Nelson suggested that we give up Social Media for seven days, I opted for a month!! I was really addicted to Facebook and almost anytime I passed by the computer I would stop and check out who might have or not liked something I had shared, even at night after going to bed I would give into my addiction, and I get up about 3 or more times, I was missing out on a good night's rest. After the month ended, I hardly ever do Social media. I am free from this senseless distractor.Thank you President Nelson, I am so honored to have your wise guidance and I know you are covered by Our Savior.

This is my first time ever posting a comment. Approaching each day, at first, I feel daunted, and then I turn to the Lord and seek out videos and inspired teachings like this one. I'm brought back to the knowledge that I'm not alone on this sojourn in life and that I have much to be grateful for. I'm going now to pray to my Heavenly Father for all that he has blessed me with- moisture from the heavens, a warm home, family that loves me, a body that heals, access to the scriptures, and most importantly- a relationship with my Savior that comforts me in my darkest hours.

I am grateful for a living prophet of God to lead us and deliver the word of God. I am so blessed and healed by participating in this #givethanks invitation. It was one of the greatest feelings joining with my brothers and sisters in showing gratitude to our Lord for his tender mercies. I loved the feeling of unity and love that abounded! It was what I imagine it will feel like in God's presence and how it should feel as we continue to unite as Zion in the building of His Kingdom. Thank you Jesus Christ and President Nelson.

I am grateful to have dear friends, a Church I love, a place to live, food to eat, the common sense to wear a mask & avoid crowds, books to read, videos to watch, faith, all the brothers & sisters watching this video, and ~ last but not least ~ my elderly little dog Roo who is still loving & happy despite being nearly blind. She never doubts that I'll be there for her. I'm learning to never doubt that Heavenly Father will be there for you and me.

I'm really thankful that every day God always reminds me to change. I never thought that I could search this even it is 2022 now. I just felt so sorry for what I did from the very first of my life and until now, the mistakes. I give thanks to Prophet Russel M. I gives thanks for my family that despite of this trials that some times we have lapses of meals due to financial problem but we still stick together.
