How I hid the TV wires on our Samsung Frame TV on a dot n dab plasterboard wall

In this video I will show you how to hide the wire that connects the Samsung frame TV to the one connect box behind the plasterboard wall without chasing out the whole wall.
I wasn't sure if the wall was going to be a stud wall or a dot n dabbed plasterboard wall so I just started the job and figured it out as I went.
I managed to hide the TV wires without having to cut the wall the whole way down, I just made two holes and fed the TV cables down behind the wall, hiding them from view. The TV I used is the 43 inch Samsung Frame TV which connect to a one connect box.

Sorry, quick question - doing research on these TV's now, and some of the online forums say you can't run the wire that came with the TV in the wall as its not "in-wall" rated? Did you have to get a special cable to get this done?

I have two of these TV's and both times I used the cables that came in the box without any problems.

Samsung sells an in wall rated version for 300$. Other than extra cost issue, the cable is thicker so doesn’t fit in the grove behind the tv. In Ontario Canada what he’s doing violates our building code . While the risk of fire is low if it ever did happen the insurance company might not cover you.

Hi What about connections to consoles? Do you have to drill further holes?

Hi, Console connections and sound bar, sky box connections etc all connect to the one connect box which is on the floor under the unit. The only wire that connects to the actual TV is the wire to the one connect box.

Every video on this is the same, always runs the cable straight down and out below. What if you want to go down... but also a metre to the left for example? That's the tricky situation I'm scouring yt for

Screwfix sell a magnetic tool called a "SUPER ROD GEKKO GRIPPER 6M CABLE ROUTING TOOL" which could work if your wall is dot n dabbed plasterboard but if your wall has studwork behind then the studs will probably block you from going sideways.

As far as I'm aware there is no code in the UK for running a power cable behind a wall. Every wall in the house has a power cable running behind it so why would a 3 amp TV cable be any different?
