You are a class act and I thoroughly enjoy watching you play. As an aspiring Senior Pro, you are the ideal person to emulate on and off the court!!! All the best the rest of the season👍🏓

What age is Senior pro? Asking for a middle aged person who wants to leave the rat race who will go unnamed.
@DavidTexas340Ай бұрын
@@chadh8632 I would think the Senior age requirement for pickleball tournaments generally I’ve heard you had to be 55+ to play in Senior Open Plays at pickleball facilities but that could always vary so you should inquire with PPA

How do you know when to use a two hand counter vs a one hand backhand counter and which do you prefer? is it more based on court positioning (someone speeding up the line when you are on the left side/cross court speed up when you are on the right) or is it about the ball placement being out wide of your body vs right at your body? Do you always bring two hands to the paddle when anticipating a shot so that you have the option for both a two hand counter and a one hand counter?
@BenJohns_pbАй бұрын
I typically use two when countering attacks down my line (for increased power on the counter), and I also use two when playing defense against high balls. I typically use one for attacking and for countering balls hit at my body

Any chance you can do a tutorial on the forehand roll/flick? Your backhand one was great. Thank you for inspiring us.

Ben, how many hours would you guess you play with your 3S doubles paddles before you switch to a new one? Do you break you paddles in for some number of hours before you play with them in a tournament?
@BenJohns_pbАй бұрын
I’ve been using them for at least two tournaments plus some practice time. So about the same time as I use the Gen2 for.

Back to the Backhand and the Cross-Court dropping to initiate Singles Cat and Mouse.....owned Perseus2,3 and TA-15 so pro Jolla. What was it about the Perseus2 for Singles ?
@BenJohns_pbАй бұрын
I still prefer my original paddle for singles because it’s what I feel most control with, particularly stretch volleys.
@TheSourcingSamuraiАй бұрын
Thank you and those intentional slight edge if sweet spot = a method of disguise where actual speed is less than motion or if hitting drop a little more feathery soft landing.- you are right "Once you use you won't be looking for another paddle" it supports any shot imaginable so thank you. @BenJohns_pb

1) Which parts of your game are you working on to improve? 2) Which top pro on the tour do you get the most satisfaction from beating? 😈
@BenJohns_pbАй бұрын
1) Two handed backhand in a variety of situations 2) Typically if I lost to them last time I played them there is added satisfaction when winning
