Omg I love that old Nes cabinet and you can never go wrong with a old school tv !

Thanks, apparently it was a Sears exclusive and I've seen two other variants of this shelf. Same color scheme and graphics but different shelf layout. One was mean to have the CRT on top.

I put together 8 of the wood crates that you can get at Walmart. I pieced 4 to make a cube then a second cube one on top. I have a total of 13 consoles hooked up through two TVs and a monitor for Dreamcast. My CRT for the older consoles and my HDTV for the newer ones.

I do the same, my crt has s-video, composite and component out. For the svideo and av consoles I daisy chain multiple switchers. I think I’ve got 12 consoles and a vcr

Nice, I also have S video but I don't have component.

I only have 2 AV switchers for both the front and rear inputs on my CRT...S video and composite, to S video I have my S video modded Sega Genesis, a Sega Saturn, and a Nintendo 64, to composite my VCR, NES and a Super Nintendo Jr with a modified cartridge slot to also fit Japanese games, I also have wireless controllers for every console.

Any reason you prefer playing on a real PS1 vs playing PS1 on your PS2? Is it a 50000-series PS2 that had the PS1 chip removed and emulates the games unlike the 39000-series and below PS2 that play them in hardware? Or is it just to use a chipped PS1?
@jonniefast2 жыл бұрын
could be a preference thing ps3 also does ps1, but i dont use my 2 or 3 having redundant systems saves wear on disc based consoles

If using a light gun, would it be better to have that particular console connect to the front outlets of the tv and the others with the multi tap?
@HomeAwesomation2 жыл бұрын
Good question but I doubt it. Light gun worked with horrible coax/rf input.
@JanickSan892 жыл бұрын
Where did you buy that 4 way?

These are used items from thrift stores. I'm sure there must be a modern version though.

Just to be safe I would remove the small speakers from the crt tv, the magnets in them can effect color if not properly shielded. Wall mount them behind it on the wall.
@HomeAwesomation3 жыл бұрын
It's a good point. There hasn't been any issue so far. Maybe the TV or speakers are shielded. Perhaps the speakers are too weak. Or maybe the TV auto-degausses on power up.
@aarongrief76793 жыл бұрын

@@HomeAwesomation as long as you have main ac power off (surge protector) when not in use its probably fine to leave everything plugged in lightning storm/brownout proof here i even ran an av coupler from the back of the tv so its a quick swap over AV

Yeah but they're all connected with the worst possible video resolution there is lol. Try again when you finally discover what COMPONENT is lol Not Impressed.
@HomeAwesomation2 жыл бұрын
First off why am I bothering to respond to criticism from someone who clearly spends most of his time on youtube jerking off based on your public playlists? Second, this TV doesn't take component.
