"6 dead 19 gone to jail" "Pray I thee" " Mr Right" "Jah Jah Golden Jubilee " are some of songs I remember from this "foundation" Deejay who in my opinion formed part of the UNRIVALLED TRIUMVIRATE of the early 70s and beyond; U-Roy, I-Roy and Big Youth....(Dennis "aka Al Capone" Smith) Another mighty Toaster.

Bob Marley and the Wailer a Chant Rastafari long before Big Yuth start his musical career. We always hear that Self Praise is no Recommendation. Yet some Men would even try to bathe in a next man's Glory. No one know s what inspires people sometimes to change their lifestyles, yet some stranger would want to take the credit for it. Some is quarreling saying they are the ones who invent the word Reggae. even hear some getting Swellheaded saying they are the first to wear Dreadlocks as a Reggae Artist. What is that. Is that Self Exaltation ?.

I' sure Mortimer Planno introduced the way of Rastafari to Bob, and the path to become a Natty Dread and live an I-Tal livity !

Probably so, I think Big Youth is speaking musically and setting the trend of wearing locks. As far as using the name Rasta in song Peter is accredited with that and I think that’s from the 60’s. Something to research.

You don’t know for sure an Artist could say something first then and after seeing it happen convinced himself he did before being corrected but that’s nothing to get harsh feelings about bc Miss Lou was a great influence to Bob Marley too for not be afraid to sing his lyrics in patwa!
