How I installed 2 additional 2.5" hard drives into the Dell R710

high school age me shows you how I installed 2 additional drives in the R710, involves extracting power by modifying a 12.7mm slimline DVD to HDD adapter to run 5V to another drive. For mounting the rear drive you can use a nice PCI slot 2.5" hotswap bay for a much nicer setup. Better still is that the slimline power cable that originally ran to the DVD drive connects the the motherboard via a 4-pin connector so you can crimp your own cable if you want to go that far. I'll update this desc. if I ever find out what that connector is but my R710 has been put out of service long ago.
