Looks like a solid install. I already had my solar gland wired up by OVRLND so now I just need the panel. Most likely going this route with the renogy

Thank you! So far so good. I’ll keep you posted on the performance though 🤙

Yeah Mike my 100 watt panel is working great! I'm still gonna add another though. My fridge runs full time off my Jackery 1000 and the panel keeps it topped off. 👍

@@PNWXMATT great to hear! I actually just ordered one today. So what makes you want to install another?

I like it. It's a simpler install install than my old school 175 watt rigid solar panel on my slide-in pop up. I went with a combined DC to DC and MPPT charge controller -which is much more work with regards to wiring and fuses.

Nice dude. I think the dc to dc would be my next move if I need more power. Nice to have options

Well done. Wondering why the flex panels and not the hard panels. Is it a weight issue? Would that have cost less or was the flex panels less expensive?
@HeyJonMoore4 ай бұрын
Weight was certainly a consideration but it mainly came down to mounting options. I think I would’ve had to drill a lot more holes to put a rigid panel up. Wasn’t too keen on the thought of that. The flex panels were only $120 on Prime Day so not too bad

@@HeyJonMoore makes sense - more holes=more prone to leaks and mold. Glad you got it up and running. 👍🏻

Nice install! What did you use for cable routing?
@HeyJonMoore3 ай бұрын
I just routed it through the frame of the camper following the cable for the Maxxair Fan.

Where was this and why 100w over 200w? Loving these videos!
@HeyJonMoore4 ай бұрын
I was going to do 200w but one of the panels got damaged in the mail. Just a price point thing mostly. Thank you though!
@raymondclark17854 ай бұрын
Good luck with that panel, mine failed after 2 years 😢 For my roof mount i went with ridged panels. Not as aero but longer lasting 😅

Ah shit. I’m crossing my fingers this one works out. That’s the only thing I’m concerned about. It’s going to be heat fun hell if I need to get that 3M off
@markleonard40624 ай бұрын
@@HeyJonMoore that leads to my question, if you had to remove it what's it going to take? A heat gun, scraper, or a chemical to loosen the tape glue?
@HeyJonMoore4 ай бұрын
@@markleonard4062 great question, I would try a heat gun and putty scraper first. Going to have to cross that bridge when we get there. Hoping I can at least get a solid 3 years out of it before having to deal with that

What are the dimensions of your panel?
@HeyJonMoore23 күн бұрын
It’s the Renogy 100w - I think it’s something like 43 x 23

Yeah I can make a video like that down the road. Not much to show though - just the charge controller showing that it’s bringing in 3-5ish amps depending on sun and shade conditions. Is there something else you’re curious about?
