I promised my roommates I wouldn't get any more orchids than I could fit in my one good plant window. So just this weekend I installed shelves in that window and now I have room for way more orchids. Checkmate, roommates!

Perfect timing on this video! I was just thinking of where I can add another shelf to accommodate my ever growing collection. You know it’s serious when you rearrange furniture to add another shelf! P.S. The pink peloric phal is just wonderful!!!

FYI - the ring supports are on Amazon. It took me a little time to actually find them. ;)

I ordered the ones on Amazon, but they weren't right. They are hugh. Not for orchids. I can't seem to find them anywhere else. 😕

@@laurapeck9199 if you have wire cutters you can shorten them up.

Dani, your timing is perfect. I'm trying to do some moving around and repotting now that cold weather is done in Texas. Your tips are very useful and valuable. You are a treasure 💖

🤗🤗Hi Danni, 🌸🌸💕love your orchid collection. Beautiful variety of flower shapes, colours and species. I have gone vertical but now I think it’s time for me to move house and get a larger room for orchids and houseplant space in a conservatory? 😄

If you are looking for the round ring supports amazon has things similar to them called plant ring supports. There are a few sizes.

Thank you for being a voice of reason in a society momentarily infatuated with throwing things away and so-called minimalism. This video was so helpful. It's always nice to see setups that look great and don't involve gobs of money (like giant conservatories).

I did this technique with regular houseplants when I lived in an apartment but now that I’m in a house i have a bit more space for growth. This is a great video.

Thank for your hard work! 😊 tip #3: 😅 yep every millimeter is important.. especially if it could be for new orchids. 🤣 do you keep or give away old division or is it last day for them? I have question about roots too. Is it possible that they can take break from growing ? Some of my orchids roots sealed root's green tips. I increased humidity, but it didn't help. The tipps are not burned. Is it normal?
@MissOrchidGirl3 жыл бұрын
Hi, it depends on the division. Very small or very old divisions are not so productive, so I don't usually keep them. Newer and more active divisions I keep for giveaways.. when I can send stuff again. And yes roots can stop growing during the year, depending on season, or what the orchid is doing ☺️

Thanks for another great video Danni. I have purchased some mini phals based on your earlier video. It's Autumn/ Fall here in Australia so I hope that my "near flowering" mini phals do well. With your guidance I'm sure they will!😄

I love your videos and have learned a lot. One suggestion for a video would be what are your most expensive orchids and how much did they cost. Another more general question would be how do you get rid of fungus gnats?
@asaldanapr3 жыл бұрын
What do you do with the discarded old parts? Do you re pot them and wait for new growth? I have done this with some of mine and now have to do it again. And mow I have way too many of just the one!
