How I landed an internship after completing the UX Google Certificate

After completing the certificate, I created case studies and a portfolio.
I have no experience in the UX field other than the projects I completed after the course.

Youre very young, so internship is a good thing. It shows that your trying that you're motivated. I liked your video. Im in course 2 of Coursera. Im also adding the graphic design program to my list as I feel like it cant hurt to have more under my belt.

@@bewellbyjiwookim7678 Im in two internships currently and in both places there are interns from 20s - 50s. A lot of them are career changers or have been doing mostly freelance stuff. I think it is possible but I do understand that age can be an issue. There is a website where you can be a volunteer UX designer that is for all ages and you can still gain the same experience!

I'm self teaching UX Design and was actually considering the Google course because bootcamps are really expensive here in Toronto. I have a friend that took the course too and his con was that the course basically teaches you the "Google" way of doing things in which they do things a bit differently compared to industry standards. Have you come across this or heard this as well?

Yeah its based on your speed so if you finish in 2- 3 months then you can spend like $80 - $120

Hi, i've took two courses on udemy but they didnt explain me about the user journey and personas very deeply so my question is do you really think that the soft skill are a must for landing a ui ux job?

As long as you know how to use it and its importance. A lot of the design is centered around what people want and like so it is important to know. But you can just read articles and watch videos to understand. If you know the concept I think you should be fine.
