LOL, I also finished biology studies but during it, I started learning animation yourself and finished as a game animator ;D Good to see someone who has, somehow, a similar path.

I remember that billboard. I had a chance to visit University of Kaiserslautern. I was research intern in DFKI for 3 months as part of exchange program and had published research in fluid dynamics. It was great experience. I got a dream job in field of AI.

I learned a little bit during my Master thesis and during the period of time I continued working at the same company. I made my website with React because that’s what I was learning at the time. Today I think I would go for Vue though 🙂

i really enjoyed this video 🙂i don't really care much for webdev these days (sorry, not sorry), but love the explanation about your career trajectory, especially the humble beginnings with your parents' business. it's an inspirational video and the meme edits were on point as always 😂 well done! (both your career pivot and the video) 💪

Always loved biology, but when I figured out the amount of animals sacrifice, I simply gave up. A friend of mine though, is working with deep ocean microbiology at an oceanography institute. So everything depends on your specialty, even though you'll probably slice an animal or two. Anyways, would be nice to keep investing in the biology channel, since it's an educational content. There're some teachers who successfully built online study platforms and helped out many students. You're so good at editing, so meticulous doing your videos, would love to see more biology videos. Not only that, but now that you're working with code and already have experience with websites. You could easily make paid content, using AI art in order to enrich your biology website and so on. Alongside it, you could keep working with coding etc., it's just a way to not waste all your previous effort. Neuroscience is another interesting topic, especially now with AI and neural networks. Interesting enough, AI is a primitive mind, not bound to biological process. So, even though understanding the brain would improve AI, there're other ways. It's similar to your career path and choices, from which you deviated in order to expand your horizon. Understanding neural networks, and programming accordingly, you could improve AI. And studying its behavior, there're so many possibilities, without killing animals. It's nice that you already studied bioinformatics, learned it and so on! I can only imagine everything you could learn analyzing those data. It's sad though we need to travel abroad to study those things. Alright, so from my understanding, after finishing your thesis you had to leave your company. So now you don't necessarily work with biology, but had to apply to anything in order to just survive. I have another friend from physics who had to do the same, now working at something else. It's sad that this happens abroad as well, since we think that we would have more opportunities. Well, we might have, but sometimes the circumstances aren't favorable. With all your knowledge in biology, neuroscience and programming, you could do wonders I mean, aside the fact we need to survive, taking any opportunity that appears, you could invest this profit into researches and AI development, just an idea though. So happy to find your content, eager to watch more videos and to comment!

I can only imagine how much you had to study to learn in weeks what people had years to learn in order to deliver your projects and thesis. I would be interested in knowing if you had any challenges regarding getting into a male dominated field? Have you faced any barriers or were you treated differently due to gender (positively or negatively)?
