I've been following tutorials on like 30 Yeat beats, and I've remade them all. Hardest part is mixing and I'm not sure where to look to learn how to do that. But it's definitely my new passion now, after trying many times in the past to produce my own music :))

yo bro i just started producing , and i was wondering what things / practices you did that really helped you get better at producing , ive been producing for like 5-7 months i don’t rlly have any plugins and ive probably made 30+ fully completed and saved beats not counting the ones ive made and deleted and ive probably liked only 2-3 of the completed beats will take all advice into consideration

yo bro so i’ve been making beats for a couple months now my beats fs sound way better and i can get around fl way easier , but i feel like the beats i make aren’t the beats i want to make my melodies come out really technoey sometimes and other times i can make a good lead but can’t follow up with good accents n counter melodies so my beats sound boring and stale . i just feel like i don’t have the right sounds and tools to make the songs that i want to make ontop of that experience and i was just looking for some advice and wondering if you faced a problem similar or had the same problem before ! Thanks

thats a real goal to reach never stop making music and always try to be DIFFERENT. yes be inspired by your predecessor's, colleagues, teacher, friends, and especially your favorite artist/producers. the whole goal here should be to become an "inspiring producer." HOW DO YOU DO THAT? Well, PRODUCE music that "puts you into a box". Which box? "A BOX OF YOU OWN" "NOT SOMEONE ELSES BOX"

I know it's kind of late telling you this, but to stop the note playing when it's not drawn in the piano roll, you can click the sample from the menu of sounds, and then go to the ADSR panel (2nd tab I think it). Now turn off everything to 0 but except the Sustain (or Hold), you want to set that to 100. Idk if you did that later on the video because I only watched 3 mins
