Well, figuring that all out and having your ideas confirmed has to be exciting! (for people who sew, anyway 😄 - it's exciting to me!). Congratulations on a beautiful first pass at the blouse - I'm looking forward to seeing that dress - I think it will be lovely on you!

Hi Carol, thank you for a most informative video 😊. This has helped add to my fitting knowledge enormously. Your blouse is beautiful and I think the dress looks most promising. Happy sewing. 🌸

Thank you for the clear demonstration. Have you ever watched Lifting Pins and needles? Karina has a tutorial on vertical measurements that is similar..

I have been searching endlessly for months now looking for this information. Thank you do much for sharing. The next thing i would like to know is how exactly did you move the dart? I have been struggling with darts since i started doing bodices. Again thank you for sharing.

It's been a bit since you asked if any of us knew of a pattern for a nice button down with Asymmetrical hem dipping on the sides instead of the front and back. Butterick just dropped one that looks similar for a knit fabric. It's B6997.

I’ve spent the last month trying to learn how to draft a custom bodice sloper in an online course that will remain nameless (not Sloper School-I haven’t had time to continue with that after making up the initial dress sloper)-and it’s been so frustrating! I’m on my third bodice mockup and the fit in the back still isn’t right. You’ve inspired me to take a break and sew up a Haskell shirt. I didn’t have the best luck with the Melody Dolman, but I think the Haskell will work better for me. Great video!

Never tried doing a self drafted bodice but I've used a Vogue sheath dress pattern bodice as my sloper for years. Any close fitting bodice pattern with waist and bust darts will work and 90% of the work is already done, you can adjust it.

You made that look easy! Which pattern drafting book were you referencing? I am excited to see how your dress turns out, too.

Really enjoyed this! Now to check out the pattern. Logging into my Cashmerette acct soon! Love the pattern!

Awesome! Thank you! Let know if you make up the pattern and how it looks! Our weekly zoom sewing circle has a lot of Cashmerette Club members and we make up a lot of the patterns. It's great to see how others sew up the pattern; the fabric they choose, etc. Would love to see how yours turns out!

Polly, do you have a video that shows you doing a sway back adjustment. I would love to see that.

I just found your channel. Please share where you learned this bodice fitting technique. I would love to dive in. I have been trying to get a good fit for a while and it hasn't worked for me yet.
