Starting a draft on your phone app then finishing on your computer is brilliant! It eliminates the challenge of getting photos loaded between two devices. Thanks for sharing your very your efficient process! I found it very helpful.

Best tutorial I have seen for start-to-finish process. You are super detail-oriented in your pictures and descriptions which I really appreciate.

I have been selling on Etsy for almost 10 years now (since 2009!) and had no idea you could add multiple tags at the same time by separating them with a comma! Thanks so much for sharing!

Informative as well as entertaining! For some reason I always agonize about writing descriptions, trying to make them sound whimsical. It's not the old school days of eBay anymore lol. Speaking of which, do you sell exclusively on Etsy? I think I may have let some nice vintage items go for too little on eBay. Do you find that Etsy is better suited for vintage items, is what I was wondering. Again great video, thanks for the organization tips!

Pictures speak louder than words on web listings. Take great *informative* photos and there is really little you need to write besides the *key words* that pull people onto the listing! I do really well on etsy, but I know others who have been on ebay for a long time struggle with it. There may be a slight difference in the *type* of vintage that sells better on etsy. I can't say, really. I post some non-vintage to ebay also but I really favor etsy on the whole. Thanks for watching!

I feel I may be having the same problem with listing on eBay and not getting the price I should. I set up my etsy but haven't list on it yet.

@@RealNiftyVintage Thanks very much, once I get more settled in ( recently moved) I plan on reselling vintage and I think I'll give Etsy a shot. I've been collecting for many years and it's time to make a little money. Instead of just seeing something, knowing it's valuable, and leaving it there because it's not my exact taste. Been watching you, Mrs. Stone home, Scott's curiosity shop, etc... Seems like so much fun and you guys are really inspiring! Thanks again!

Jeffrey, thank you so much for this video. It has shown some ways I have been trying to figure out. I create drafts on eBay like this and figured there has to be a way on Etsy. I have a question though. You did not enter the weight in on your listing before you published it. Is that not necessary because you use pirate ship and I do since you let us know about it in another video. The info on the tags and reasons why is the best I’ve come across from other sources and videos.
@RealNiftyVintage5 жыл бұрын
I don't enter the weight or box size because I offer free shipping. Basically, I know around about the weight of what items are going to be and I tack a little on the price for the shipping. When I used to do calculated shipping, I would write the weight and box size that I think it's going to be on the paper with the dimensions. Thanks for watching!

How do you handle the "production partner" section when listing? Lately, I keep getting blocked from adding my vintage items. It asks for a production partner but I have none?? Thank you. PS I have contacted Etsy through chat and by e-mail but no one has given me a straight answer. They keep referring me to their automated database.....???

Oh wow ty so much jeffrey for this vid ill probably watch it a few times. I get pretty overwhelmed. Last weekend i started to list for the first time and did ut thru the app but it kept asking me for a shipping profile. I was literally in tears and discouraged. I ended up listing from my ipad on the actual etsy website but taking pics from my ipad is so awkward. Im still learning the ropes. Still no sales but i only have 6 listings so far. Its trying to find the time to list between work and family. My dining room table is covered with items. Our house looks like an epie of hoarders 🤣🤣😂😄 A question....the measurements do you add a bit to them to account for your box and packing paper? I used to work in a post office so im just wondering if you add a bit so to be safe youre not knocked into another postage rate once you take the pkg to send off and its got a bit more dimension to it thx!
@RealNiftyVintage5 жыл бұрын
the measurements listed are only of the actual item and they are for the customer so they know what size the item is. as far as box size you don't need to list that in your description you only need to know it in your head when determining the cost of shipping! Thanks for watching glad it is a help!

I don’t know that “VTG” will come up in an SEO when a buyer searches the word vintage. As much as I hate using up space in my description for long words, I always avoid abbreviations that buyers may not know offhand.

What do you put for a production partner. My listing is telling me I have to add one because I chose the option of being made by another company or person. It’s a toy from a major manufacturer
@RealNiftyVintage4 жыл бұрын
If it's listed as 'vintage' over 20 years old it shouldn't ask that...

Ive gotten lazy and need to put dimensions i do add a popcan but true it saves time and risk of loss of a sale.
@RealNiftyVintage5 жыл бұрын
There's nothing wrong with doing it that way.. Maybe you can use a fake apple or a lemon for sizing. It looks a little more classy than a can. I've also laid a ruler down against the item and took a photo that way if I have a lot of oddly shaped items that I want to get through quickly! Thanks for watching!

Forgot to mention in relation to my app shipping profile comment what was frusterating was i did set up a profile so itd calculate postage but it wanted a new one. Also when i chose someone else made the product it asked me who. I just choose i did now.
