And why not just doing nothing but listening to them? I think we tend too much to be multitasking and lose the pleasure of just being there and enjoying one thing at a time. Personally I love to listen to my audiobooks in the darkness, before falling asleep... 😊 It's an amazing alternative to reading when I'm too tired. I also enjoy them while driving but it's indeed sometimes really dangerous when I get too caught up!!

Thanks for the suggestions!!! I have three kids and I've slacked on my reading. I've turned to audiobooks, I listen to them while I drive all the time ( my kids don't like it at all ), while I clean the house, while I'm cooking, crafting... it is just so relaxing I love it... love the coloring idea thanks.

I love listening to audiobooks while walking or on bus. Also I like lounging in my bed playing a game on my phone or cleaning my room with headphones on. What I struggled most but now have gotten used to, was listening to audiobook while working. I'm a software engineer and I now love to listen to audiobooks while writing a code. It helps me tune out the office noise and I can miraculously concentrate on the code and the book at the same time.

I love listening to audiobooks while doing literally anything: Getting ready for bed, doing all my chores (which, mind you, can take anywhere from an hour to 2 hours, three times a week), working (this is a little tricky and I only do it if what I'm working on at the moment isn't particularly hard or requires much attention), folding laundry, when I can't sleep, getting ready in the morning... you name it, I do it!

I have to say that audiobooks are definitely my favorite way to "read" a book. They are so much easier and it allows me to do other things while still reading. I love to listen while I'm working, my job can be mind numbing and I need that extra stimulation for the day that music just does not give. Thank you!, love all of your videos!! :)

i sometimes listened to audiobooks when i was to tired to read 😂 but now I found out it is easier for me to read a song of ice and fire series while listening to the audiobook because English is not my native language it helps me a lot to listen to the book while reading it :) I also thought I wouldn't like audiobooks but I had these short/ fairy tale stories on special CD's that I always listened to when I was younger and I loved them so much so I love this too :)

Listening to Audiobooks while driving is especially awesome when you're in traffic. I live in Southern California and driving to University at certain times of the day can mean traffic. It isn't as difficult driving and listening as you'd think, since people listen to the radio just as much and don't crash (unless they're just terrible drivers). But I agree, audiobooks are awesome!!! I'm thinking of renewing my Audible subscription because listening to books has made me less of a "road-rager" :P

Emma Johnson You can get audibooks through the library (not sure how, but I think it's through Overdrive or something like that). I'd say an Audible subscription isn't *really* worth it. An audiobook will cost you more than buying a hardcover through Amazon or B&N. What I do is look out for the daily deals. I've found books I was interested in for $4 or less. Another method to get cheaper audiobooks is if you buy ebooks through Amazon. For example, I downloaded an e-book for free, and now the audiobook would only me $1.99. This price varies depending by publisher. Books that have been traditionally published tend to cost more using this feature. Some can cost $5, others $8, etc. What I do recommend is getting the Audible free trial. You can get two months free, which means you get two audiobooks. That's a good way to decide if you want to get an Audible membership. If you decide it's not worth it, you can cancel your membership before the trial ends. You won't be charged any money and you'll get to keep the audiobooks.

I have been listening audiobooks for a long time. Really love them! Currently I am using Audible and sometimes I use the credits of this App along with the book I'm reading. Also is a perfect tool to improve the English language because my main language is Spanish. Mostly I'm listening and reading English audiobooks.

I have a 30 minute bus drive to and from work each day so I get almost all of 1 part of an audiobook done then and then I usually finish it off while I am getting my lunch unpacked or dishes done. I definitely don't do it as often as I could though. Also listening to Gone Girl right now and it is great to listen to just FYI.

When I listen to audiobooks, I can never do it while i'm reading or writing anything. I've tried listening to audiobooks while scrolling down tumblr, and even though it's 90% photos, my mind wanders. I have to be doing something stimulating (knitting, sudoku, solitaire), doing exercise, or driving for me to be able to focus on it.

I love audiobooks I am a really slow reader and if it weren't for audio books I wouldn't have gotten in to reading at all. And you don't always need to buy your audio books the public library is an amazing audio source.
