Thank you for sharing this. This pillar approach makes alot of sense. Similarly, last year my relationship of 7 years fell apart and I was devastated... two months later I started losing friendships.... four months later my grandmother passed... three months later I lost my career of 12 years... two months later I totaled my car doing doordash... It felt like I had been hit with everything possible to take me out of here. I came across your videos at the end of last year and they have helped me tremendously. I'm still working on pulling myself out of the rut from everything I've experienced but I think using the pillars will help me focus on one thing at at time so it all doesn't feel so overwhelming. Thanks Mikee for sharing your story.

Hey, I'm sorry for what you've had to go through in the last year but you seem strong with a good head on your shoulders. Thanks for sharing a little of your story and letting me know my videos have helped you in some way. I started this journey for myself but reading comments like this keeps me going. Take time to heal and process and when you're ready, build that temple of yours ❤️

I really resonated with the chit chat video around balance Mikee and it is incredible how loss helps us to re-evaluate our pillars. After a painful divorce in my early 30s, it was my friendships that brought me back to life, especially my childhood friends who knew me "before him". I no longer fit into mutual friendship circle of cookie cutter "married couples" and so I never heard from them again. From that moment, I promised myself that I would always find balance, I guess even within my pillars, investing in mutual friends and my own friends (outside of a relationship) because we just never know what the future holds 😊

Thanks for sharing Aik, love that it was your friendships that brought you back to life - something I think is SO important. Especially seeing the elderly without a tribe, it makes me sad but a reminder that finding your people is so important not just for the now, but later too 🥹. Love how you said investing in mutual friends, but your own as well. Would be a great topic for you to expand on in a future video 😉❤️

Thank you for sharing, Mikee! I also was in a similar situation as far as being a co-dependent relationship at a very young age and felt lost and alone when we broke up. I will never let myself feel that way again.

Mikee-Thanks for being so vulnerable and sharing your thoughts with this community. You’ve obviously have been through some things & those challenging experiences have in the end only made you a pillar of strength. I celebrate that through grief and loss you were able to come out the other end of it happy and grateful.

so many things I relate to - I also feel like my 20s was like me still figuring so much out - not having my act together at all. And now my 30s I'm also really focusing on career and finances. Also I had a friend die suddenly in my early 20s which just put so much into question - then a quick shitty relationship- that broke the camels back and made me crumble. Then while getting better also having traumatic pets illnesses and death. So I really love this idea of pillars, I need to think about what they are in my life and start building on more than just my career and finance. I guess off the bat I think one is for me is my relationship with myself - being kind to myself, enjoying my own company, positive self talk, taking myself out on "dates"... Thanks so much for sharing.

Hey Hannah - thanks so much for sharing and I'm so glad this video resonated with you. "relationship with myself - being kind to myself, enjoying my own company, positive self talk, taking myself out on "dates" - I love this. Honestly, I found this myself through my KZbin Journey. It's taught me so much about myself. While we're our own worst critic, we can also be our most valuable player. And at the end of the day, we're the only ones that can label ourselves as such. Rooting for you!

such an amazing video! this is literally, what i am going through right now, rebuilding. it was refreshing to hear what you had to say. I can relate to being in a long term relationship in my 20's where we were co-dependent. i feel like now that i just started my 30's it's like my actual 20's. I always felt alone in saying that. But, it's nice to hear someone feel the same way 🙂

My worst moment in my life when my pillars fell apart is when my ex who filmed porn behind my back convinced me, we should move to San Diego and I quit my job and a week before the move. He broke up with me because he had been cheating on me with another guy and my father had passed away recently. Three major life events all happened at one time and it took a while to recover, and it was very hard to explain to people years after that. I’ve come to the collusion that it was just better to tell people the truth about what happened I was quite embarrassed. I am no longer embarrassed and it made me a stronger person and definitely more humble.

Damn, I’m so sorry to hear, that must have been tough and absolutely nothing to be embarrassed about. You went through what took years for me to go through in a blink of the eye. Glad you got through it and came out stronger in the end ❤️❤️
