Honestly same, I wish it was a more "everyday life" movie without the war/thriller part. Would've been a rewatchable classic for me then! As it is I enjoyed it but it's tone becomes too grim and uneven. Good film anyway, loved the cinematography.

@@zauberholz8357 Yh, I haven’t read the book but it definitely felt a bit out of tune from the everyday life they showed at the beginning. Rly do like the film and I agree with the cinematography but when I rewatch it I mainly stop just as it turns bad lol

Umm, hmmm. I guess you could say there are some qualities of a chick flick, but it doesn't exactly focus on that. There aren't many parts where they have scenes about the love between the two cousins. That's mainly in the beginning and then in the very end it's less for reasons you will find out if you watch it. Ha. I don't want to spoil it. (Sorry if this message doesn't exactly make sense I just got done working out and I am very dizzy and lightheaded.)
