Glad to see that you did NOT lose 1.2M.. you just failed to make 1.2M .. . big difference, especially since you did indeed bank $300k profits. And IMO.. what good is it to make all these great profits you make and not take some time off to enjoy.. Thank you for sharing your knowledge.

Me I spent the last 10 years building my business and I am comfortably retired at 52 but after watching this I was completely wasting my time It was such a waste of time to waste my last ten years when in two days I would have made a million dollars and ten years I would have billions and billons of dollars. I will do what this guy says just buy a bunch of puts and calls and shorts and longs and in 3 days boom the money just rolls in. He is a genus I will do as he did not what he says. Certainly a trader knows the difference between an opportunity cost and a loss. This was merely an opportunity for self promotion.
@chadwilliams18153 ай бұрын
you are incorrect here. he didn't lose 1.2m from his account, no, but he left money on the table, especially because he knew... This is most definitely a loss. That said, as the saying goes "shit happens". You cant win all of them and sometimes, spending some quality time with friends and family is worth more than 1.2m....sometimes. plus, making 300k on your day off is hardly a disappointment.

Hi Peter, here's the trick for trading with low/intermittent bandwidth. 1) Don't connect to the platform directly, instead remote desktop into a PC at your home/office. MSFT RDP sends an image of what's happening on the remote machine, so it's perfectly suited for trading with very low bandwidth. 2) The PC on the other end of the connection has full bandwidth, so even if the remote device winks off any trades will still have gone through.

This is very true. I remember I had put options on NVDA and I closed them Friday morning to go to the Grand Prix in Long Beach and guess what? If I had held them until EOD it would have been $9,000. Instead I closed for $1,200. This was back in April when it crashed from $835 to $756 on a Friday. The same thing happened to me with Bitcoin back in 2017 and I was in Hawaii when it was running up from $1,500 to $8,000 and I missed a good chunk of the early move. Not to say that you can't take breaks, but just be aware of what the market can do without you.

Some standout features to be aware of: significant overhead supply from trapped longs attempting to sell out at higher prices, bull market now arguably in the late distribution phase, QQQ and SPY still trading below a downward sloping 21-day EMA line. The NDX is also positively correlated to Bitcoin. When the 24/7 Bitcoin futures start to decline, NDX soon follows. Similar to last week, the proverbial cat may bounce before falling hard.

I actually think that you present this the wrong way unless you’re that desperate for the money time with your friends is way more important if you’re comfortable in life, it literally doesn’t matter and it doesn’t affect your life in anyway and if it does, then you’re not that good of a traitor anyways and you did the right thing of taking the risk off more over you couldn’t have predicted the Yen situation It was an exogenous event that was not predictable. Unless you have inside knowledge which in your story you did not indicate that you did or didn’t so you were just technically trading. It means that if you were working Friday, sure would you caught it yes but again you’ve done this long enough to know that, you also are a traitor for to have granularity in your own decision making in time so it is perfectly fine to say that you made $300,000 on following your plan mitigating risk and enjoying yourself because on your deathbed are you actually gonna give a shit whether you have $50 million or $51 million to give to your kids And if you don’t have your deathbed to run this anyways
