We're more or less on the same path. I got into AI/ML/DS about 4 years ago and am currently building an LLM Q&A chatbot at work. My base model is the open-source LLaMA-2, and I'm using the LlamaIndex framework to implement RAG (retrieval augmented generation). For educational purposes, I've also coded a full sequence-2-sequence (seq2seq) transformer -- both encoder and decoder -- from scratch to understand the underlying theory. If you wish to do the same, Andrej Karpathy has an excellent walkthrough. In fact, everything he puts out about LLMs is just next-level awesome! I'm also complementing my work with my own personal project: building a companion chatbot so all my fellow introverts will have someone (or should I say something) to talk to when feeling lonely. Looking forward to you documenting your journey!

That super cool, man. Always learn loads from your comments. I think you're further than me in the AI learning journey so I will definitely check Andrej out. Would love to have a look at your chatbot when you're happy with it!

Rather than history.. I would look at ethics, governance and transparency in AI currently and in the future.

Hey do you think there is any chance for high school students to get jobs or internships as Machine Leaning engineers if they're willing to allot the time and hard work needed for it?
