Hey DataNyash I’m from Kenya! 5 months into Datascience , with an undergraduate in Actuarial Science. I’m also currently pursuing a Masters in Financial Engineering because I want to specialize in Business and Finance as a Data scientist . Would you say my Masters is valid in the Data science world ? Considering I’m really perfecting my projects for my Data portfolio as well combined with my background in Actuarial ? Thankyou for your videos really encouraging!

I was considering a career change to data analyst/science but after watching this video, I don't think my 2 brain cells can handle it. Best to leave it for smart people.

I would suggest taking a course in statistics before any of this. If you find that you hate it, or can't hack, data-science is not for you. It's a quick way to learn some basics that could be valuable even if you don't pursue a career.

R is generally more academically centric (more often used by universities, some governmental institutions, and traditional businesses depending on what part of the world you are in, e.g., NZ, Australia, USA). Python would cover all the rest in general.. 😄

If youi want to write a novel, you can't spend all your time reading grammar books. But that's how many online courses are constituted. The courses should be made up ONLY of projects, progressing from simple to complex (you can learn the rules and syntax as you go), so you get a better understanding of how to code in the real world.

I love to learn Data Science however, I’m not good at Maths and I don’t have a degree. However I’m very good at predictions. Is this right for me? (I’m on W3 Schools it’s very good)🤩👍

I get you thanks for putting all these into a video I am seeing this now where I am at the stage just having complete my career track and making my portfolio I agree with you that datacamp is not nearly enough for a noobie I have so much trouble with my portfolio now 😅 there is no fill in the blanks for a portfolio project only googling and finding your way around in stack overflow and some KZbin videos. I find myself having to supplement my learning through other various courses in udemy and Coursera so my entire journey of learning something is not 3 months as datacamp promised but 6-9 months in reality 😂 I went down a rabbit hole there is no way back and I am still hoping to land my first job as a data analyst associate one day

I am a Tableau Developer and I feel like AI will take over the market and in the next couple of years visualisation could get automated. I believe relying on one skill would not be good enough. So, I wanted to study something else which could take advantage of the skills I already have which is dashboard building skills and Data Science could complement that. However, with wife and kids I do not have the option to study (university) or even take part in boot camps (as they are very expensive). I feel my options are limited where I want to learn with limited resources and also time. Half the time i busy working and the other half taking care of kids.
