I absolutely love how real and descriptive you’ve been throughout your pregnancy. It’s very educational especially because a lot of things in pregnancy and child birth aren’t taught.

I use the EPI-NO for my first child and got to 8cm. Doctor still have to perform a tiny episiotomy because they want the baby to be out faster. But I think it really helps! Even with episiotomy I recovered within 10 days :) Also I drink raspberry leaf tea starting 35 weeks, my baby came at 37 weeks though xD

I think you'll discover that once you've hit 10cm and you start active pushing, it's not going to hurt like you've been hurting while dilating. It's a relief once you can start pushing. You're gonna do great! I wish you and Alfred a textbook delivery! And, don't you worry a bit about taking care of your little one. You'll be surprised just how quickly you catch on to her schedule and to what her different cries mean and what she wants. You go with your instincts...they'll rarely lead you wrong. You've got this!

I recommend having more than newborn diapers. They grow really fast and my daughter was only in newborn diapers for like a week, if that. You'll know they are too big for their diaper when they leak outside of it. If you end up having a colicky baby, just remember that you are not alone and always make sure your baby is in a safe spot when you take 15 mins to cool down. That's what I was recommended when I had my daughter. She was super colicky. Up every half hour for nearly 6 months. It was exhausting. Just make sure you don't forget about time for yourself. It's not selfish, you will need it. Even if it's just a bath or what have you. Also, don't feel bad if you cannot breast feed. It happens, and it is normal. With all your hormones dropping quickly you will be emotional, so just take care of your mental health. If you have baby blues or post partum, just know you are not alone in this either. Every Mom goes through something but try to stay positive and remind yourself of that. I had baby blues, it was awful, but I had support from my husband and I got through it. That's all the little tidbits of info I have. It will be hard at first, but you WILL find your rhythm. Don't worry.

Congratulations! What you need to know is that every baby is different and something that worked great for your friend or what the "experts" say may not work for your baby! Don't stress. If all you do in a day is just keep yourself and your baby alive then you're doing great! Also post partum (baby blues) are a part of a lot of moms reality! And it's not always just crying. It could be anger, frustration or feeling like you're not bonded to your baby. Please seek help if you feel off. This is not a taboo subject anymore. Your doctor can and will help you! So excited you you and Alfred ❤

I'm with Blanche Devereaux from The Golden Girls: "I had my babies the way God intended; strapped to a table, numb from the neck down." I don't have any kids (no physical reason, I just don't want them), but if I *had* wanted them, I'd choose to be drugged to the gills when I delivered. I don't do pain. At all. Even menstrual cramps are too much for me, so labor pains would probably incapacitate me. Props to any woman who delivers vaginally without any kind of pharmaceutical assistance; you're stronger than I would be. LOL

Hi Tina, Im very happy seeing you having date. Marry has eaten a lot of them before her labor. Its is mention in the Quran. You right, date are very sweet but loaded of good nutrients you and your baby need. Take this trick from me. Blend 7 or 5 or 3 dates with one small spoon of fennel seeds and another of linseed. Will be a YUMMY HEALTHY JUICE.

💢Also I just wanted to say that you should never let your baby cry hours on end. Babys CANT sooth them self, they need skin contact. I bet you know all of this. I just wanted to make sure. Because i suffer from mental illness aswell as my hole family. And its crucial that babys are not beeing abondent when they should sleep alone in their bed and because parents think that the baby should sooth themself. That the baby will fall asleep evantually. 💢

as an Arab I just wanted to say that dates are usually served with arabic coffee so it balances out the sweetness but it might be hard to have caffeine while pregnant. it's just a tip tho if you ever wanna have dates later on.

I think the biggest mistake a new mom can make is having expectations. Expect the unexpected and there will be no disappointments. Love your experience for what it is not what you want it to be. Your body and your baby are going to do what they do regardless. It’s awesome to be prepared and to have a plan. But part of that plan should be preparing for the fact that things can go many different ways. Good luck mamas!

Congratulations to a beautiful lady! And yes, please try and avoid an episiotomy. I had one 34 years ago with my 1st child. She was experiencing "distress"? I think it was due to lying on my back too long and having many epidural shots to numb my body from the waste down. Anyway, I'm not saying not to get them if you are having a very long hard labor but, lying flat on my back was not helpful. And yes, back labor is pain in your lower back. It's like a really bad back ache, not sharp pain, but extreme pressure in the low deep back. Such an unusual feeling. This is my first time watching Your videos and you are absolutely Charming, Smart, Funny, Sweet, and Beautiful. I am truly delighted with you and wish you and your family the best in health, love and life. One word of advice, get as much sleep as possible and stay open to your own growth as a woman, wife and mother! You (and your husband) will learn from your baby and each other. Take advice but, don't second guess yourself because you are exactly who your baby needs you to be!😊

Ah, The Epi-No looked interesting but unfortunately it's not available in the US! I did perineal massage for my first pregnancy and it seemed to help, but, I still tore! Make sure not to give birth on your back because you are much more likely to tear that way! Hopefully you'll have enough energy to be sitting up in another position. Don't let the doctors pressure you to be on your back because it's "convenient" for them. It's about you, not them.

Wow never knew such thing exists to train the vagina that's so cool, I really wanna have a baby in the future and the vaginal birth idea just scares me also because they cut the vagigi lol and that's probably why that thing exists now. But I've got a huge scar from ruptured appendix so i don't know if i can actually push for normal deliver someday, we'll see. I love the way you stay positive and does all these things to prepare your body it gives me idea for the future x ❤️🇵🇭

Add dates to your soothies instead of maple syrup or honey. My fav smoothie is a peanutbutter cup smoothie: plain yogurt, peanutbutter, raw cocoa powder, non-dairy milk, and dates. Healthy and a yummy treat.
