My husband and I decided not to have another child after our daughter. We realized that we didn’t have the energy to do it again and that was fine. We have not regretted our decision and our daughter benefited from our undivided attention over the years. It’s whatever works for you, Alfred and Lyla. ❤

Something my husband and I did was go out for a date night once a week. Minimum hour per week. Watching shows are good too. This is what we did too. As long as you are taking care of you and your relationship with your husband. It might seem super easy to say this and it is. Because lord knows having a babysitter can be nerve wrecking too. But dont be afraid to take back those "me times" and "we times".

@Tina Yong you're welcome. Just figured since my daughter is 10 years old now I could tell you some things my husband and I did that worked for us. As always, this is different for others. Just find something that works for you and make it a weekly thing. Doesn't have to be long but trust me it makes a difference in your mental health.

@Sara Lee it is sincerely worth it. I went to a group that was called Healthy Baby Club because I had my daughter. They stressed to us its VERY important to have time for yourself and your significant other. Parent guilt is real, but for mental health and just to relieve stress it is so good to just have that hour of silence if you want. They told us to never forget we are individual people too - not just a parent.

please don't let motherhood define you, even though it's important. My mom ended up resenting & hating me me for how her life turned out. To this day she blames me for "ruining" her relationship with her husband/friends, ruining her mental health and finances etc because she felt like being a mother consumed her.

Motherhood does define you in some way though that you can’t change. It alters your life’s dynamics and lifestyle. I’m sorry your mother sought only the negatives from giving birth, but I feel like you’re projecting. Most women understand the responsibilities that come with being a mother.
@Kaybye555
@Kaybye555 Жыл бұрын
@@redcapmilk well Tina's reply doesn't seem to imply that. The video did come across a bit whiney I guess. I'm a mom and I wouldn't go online and firstly speak about how my child changed all these things in my life for the worse😂 i feel like nowadays motherhood is portrayed very differently

Hey my mother told me this stuff too, but don't believe them, i konw it has impact on their lives but we are not the one should be blamed, we didn't choose to live or changing their lives, it was their decision.hope you don't feel guilty about it.^^

Another tip Tina - if you never become okay with having another child dont feel bad. Life is hard, and as much as we wanted another baby we chose not to. Because we can still have a life with one and dont have to worry about the cost for babysitters, daycares, schooling, costs...etc. Its okay to not want anymore. Our daughter was colic when she was first born. For 8 months we barely slept. Nothing wrong with her just that it happens with babies sometimes - and let me tell you, it sincerely sucked. So ultimately that was the biggest reason why we didnt have another. Going through that again would have not been fun.

"I don't think kids are for everyone" THANK YOU I truly wish people would understand this. Me and my fiance are totally not ready and dont even want any kids ever and guess what? nobody understands 🤪 the environment wants YOU to have a kid and YOU to take care of it until YOU die and nobody cares if you think otherwise just because that's the "norm" What they fail to understand is not having kids is way better than making one just for the environment finally shut the f up and not being able to take proper care of it especially emotionally or physically

My partner and I have been together for 12 years and people are always amazed and call us couple goals but truth is, it’s taken a lot of work and relationship counselling has helped both of us to work as a team. You just need to keep going and know it’s not fairy tales

thank you for sharing the truth/your experience of what physical and emotional intimacy with Alfred is like post-baby. I don't have a child but it helps me to hear what others are going through so I'll feel a lot less alone if I do experience that 'distance' with my partner if we do become parents one day. I'm sure there are many mums/dads who are glad to hear about your experience too. Thank you, big sister, Tina

I had my two daughters 2 years apart🦋🦋 Taking care of small kids is definitely taxing and stressing - especially during Covid when they were still both in diapers😅 Once they turned 3 and 5, I felt like I was slowly coming back to myself again. But I’m actually kind of glad that my husband and I didn’t wait to have our 2nd. It just seemed seemed more convenient when we already had all of the baby stuff out. I definitely haven’t had a lot of me time up until this point, but now that they are a bit older and more independent, it is a lot easier🤩 I really appreciate how honest you’ve been about it all🙏 it’s really important for moms to know that it’s normal to have ups and downs and that having kids is actually quite taxing

I complete resonate with your motherly feelings, thank you for sharing it all. I've had my second baby and it's very intense, especially juggling a full-time job and graduating with a masters at the same time. I am insane. But readiness for more children is very personal and eventually you might just feel ready again. Right now I feel terrified having a third, but I would love another ... someday... lol Also, same with the relationship issues... It's very difficult and two and half years we've got our two boys and it's taken me a really long time to realize that our relationship needs to really be strengthened and we need more time for each other. So I try even if it takes sacrifice... I stay up a little after the kids are asleep and we just talk for a bit. That really has helped. But we have lots to work on :)

Hi Tina if you’re reading this . Please bring back some of your iconic false lashes from petite club that were not too natural or too dramatic when it comes to the length like for example :cheeky, feminist , desire, Pom Pom Those lashes were my favorites as it flattered someone like me with small almond eyes with small eye lids and it made me fell in love with your brand. Or please create more style of lashes that create some glam to the eyes without being too long of length . ❤❤❤
