Hearing your advice on having a couples counselor as being good yes, but also having your own counselor as an individual is really eye opening for me! Even as a guy it’s really refreshing to hear that being in therapy is not only good, but also needed, because there’s things that maybe your partner can’t help you with, and a counselor is the way to go, so thank you for that! Praying for you and Isaac and your engagement and marriage!

I love hearing about this! I also got married recently (two weeks ago) and these tips are absolutely important to any of us. Love how you explained about us being humans, so things sometimes happen and it's important to know how to communicate while being married/engaged/in a relationship. Praying for you and your marriage! ❤

Thank you for being so honest and vulnerable, Taylor! I got married this April, and while these past few months have been amazing, I’m also learning that marriage takes hard work! We have to remind ourselves every day that we married a sinner, and that we need God’s grace and presence in our relationship. I’m sure you two will handle this well, and God will guide you through this process, it’s going to be incredible! Enjoy this season of engagement, I’m praying for you!

Been married almost 25 years let me tell you. I kinda got tired in the Middle but I needed revival in my marriage while there stages of honey moon then I know you then it's a little blah then it's wow how did we get this far , then the it's we need To remember our sweet times but most importantly seeking Jesus all the way.But give each other time with Jesus alone. keeping quiet when there's an argument is better than saying something you might regret oh always pray for each other.

I love the way you explained it in the beginning of how a relationship works. I'm single, but experiencing speaking to someone for a few months revealed how hard it really is. Nevertheless, I still desire to find that guy that I will choose and who will choose me. I get not having it all together, but God is giving you a grace right now, Taylor! I'm so happy you've met someone like Isaac! I pray God will continue to give you both the grace you need in the engagement season and as you go into the marriage season! ❤

God will teach you a lot through each season you are in! Thank you for your kind words as well!

Would you say it's important to have a christian counselor? Or a non believr is fine too?
@coffeeandbibletime5 күн бұрын
That is a good question! I would prefer getting a counselor that shares similar values, but at the end of the day a good counselor should not impose their beliefs on you one way or another! I hope that helps hehe. If you have a choice I would maybe opt for one!

I’m really struggling in my singleness. It’s a daily struggle, and need for surrender to the Lord. I have such a deep desire and longing for marriage and motherhood, but nothing is happening on that front. It’s hard to trust the Lord, but I know that his plans are better than mine ever could be. it’s also been a struggle to stay pure in this time. Since nothing is happening in reality, it seems that my mind is constantly running wild with fantasies and is leading me to sexual immorality. I know that I’m not honoring the Lord in that way. Prayers are greatly appreciated! And any advice that you may have is also welcomed.

This makes so much sense to me🥺. So much love for you my friend, and I hope you know in every way you are NOT alone! I love how you are speaking out about this and being honest, as so many of us are afraid to share what is really going on in our lives. I think your desire for a relationship is so honorable. Keep seeking God as your greatest treasure and delight, as this is so honorable to do when you're single or dating. If the enemy is telling you to feel ashamed about your sexual sin temptations, remind yourself that God has redeemed you and that is not WHO you are. Struggling with sexual sin temptation as a single is REAL. I think that the book by Kirby Kelly could be really helpful for this season of your life with the sin cycles in particular: amzn.to/3OZwklC

My husband passed away in 2020. We were married23 years and together 24 years. I knew him very well so I was fortunate. We had a good life. He ws in the Army and we got to travel a lot. We didn't have children and I regret that now. I worked with children for25 years so I guess they were my children by proxy. I still can't see what I'm typing. Safari is too much trouble. I just want tyou to know that I'm watching!
