Your video is an interesting glimpse into what my life could be. Currently working in IT operations with the goal of moving into a DevOps role, pursuing game dev as a hobby. Thanks for sharing.

unfiltered life vlog is my favourite thing to watch (in terms of "daily routine vlog") i always find it fascinating on how everyone has different ways of balancing their life, or not at all depending on who 😂 but a mixture of daily vlog and a game dev is a new video format for me. it's really interesting! good luck with everything in your life.

Hey man you have been a huge inspo for me to get back into my begginner Game Dev Journey, As an apps dev for my work and part time Music Producer/Artist I find that I need to document my life more not just for KZbin and an Audience but just to hold yourself accountable and see the progress you make! Thanks for the awesome videos! Keep it up and def looking forward to your Demo!

It makes my day to hear things like this. It’s one of my number 1 goals with these types of videos. Documenting does help a lot with the accountability, and also helps keep you on track, it becomes a process you don’t want to give up. Interacting with other likeminded people is also a great part of it. Thanks for the comment, glad to have you along!

Yeah I love it. I spent a small fortune on another custom keyboard and I still go back to it all the time. The only thing I wish I could change is the cable

Very nice and chill video. And great camera work! I feel like my workflow is kinda the opposite of you haha. I usually would be too tired to do anything productive in the mornings, but then decide to stay up very late in the evenings/nights and get tons of stuff done! I would say you definitely seem to spend your time well. With a dayjob as a software developer too, as well as spending time with family and friends, it can be hard to balance it all out. Nice job. Also, Willis is adorable!
@wheezyworks
@wheezyworks Жыл бұрын
Thank you man! Interesting. I used to have a similar schedule - and sometimes I do go back to it, usually if I have time away from the day job, I tend to go nocturnal. It’s a great schedule though! Balance is hard though, for sure. I’m far from getting it right too. And yeah, Willis can be a devil at times, but 80% of the time he’s adorable.

Doing sports to counterbalance desk working is really good idea. When I think about it, spending a bit less time next to PC and keeping up with regular breaks might even boost productivity(?). It's just that it's so difficult to get up and do something else :P
@wheezyworks
@wheezyworks Жыл бұрын
Yeah it definitely helps. It can be hard though, as you feel comfortable behind the PC and to leave that space after a few hours can be a challenge in itself. I’m always 10x happier when I force myself out of those ruts though. Gives you time to subconsciously process things as well and de-stress.

This is more or less my life, although I have no dog, and no pretty lake around. But I also work as a consultant and work on my game around that. I just also have two kids that require attention. Progress is slow, but it is there. Nice video.

Awesome to hear. Slow steady progress is the way! I almost think there’s something powerful about limits on your time that makes you more efficient. I’ve also had a kid since making the video so can relate somewhat…

The thing about the day job and hobby centered around the computer is a real issue. I hope you don't burn yourself out and keep up with the regular physical activities. Great video.🙂
@wheezyworks
@wheezyworks Жыл бұрын
Thank you! I’ve been doing this for a long time now, so I’m kind of used to it. I like the constant buzz chasing something, and when it’s game dev and youtube, the excitement tends to override the negative. Though, it could easily be to the detriment of physical health, which is something I have to keep in mind.

Hey man. As someone also working on a side project besides work, Ive been enjoying watching your journey. Very inspirational. That said, could I ask you for a favor, if you dont mind? Can you move your desktop to another place?! 🙏 Its giving me fucking anxiety because its on the ground and it seems (and this may be due to camera angles) that the chair is about to hit at any moment 😭
@wheezyworks
@wheezyworks Жыл бұрын
Thank you, it’s great to hear things like this. Makes my day! And hah! Yes, fair point 😂, it works that my chair can’t go under the desk far enough to hit it (with me on it) so it works just right. I do prefer it on the desk but moved it to create more space. I might move it back though, it’s a nightmare when use the standing desk 😅
