How fun that the employees are excited when you have a full cart!! I live in a small town with 1 independent thrift store. Im in there so often they put stuff aside sometimes if they think I'd be interested in it. and they know i sell online. Great stuff as always.

My husband got. a set of Magna Lite pots and pans before we were married, so they are at least 45 years old. One handle broke a few years ago, but other than that all are still in great conditon Quality pans !! Great find !

I have a similar story. When my neighbors moved a couple years ago among the loot I pulled was a trash bag filled with big box games. Deus ex and a lot of other big titles. Easily my best trash pull ever. Congrats on that find!

Hey Dustin, interesting and informative video as usual. The Schleich pick up was especially good. I'm an Irishman guy living in Germany and was surprised at how high the resale value of the Schleich has in the States. The company was really popular a few years back, my kids collected all the animals. Nowadays the prices are much lower here.

Dino-mite finds. I have been paying up for items lately at Goodwill, (prices seem to increased the past month) but some good finds to be had. Found a NIB 18" Monster High Doll for $27, and they sell on eBay between $200 and $350.

I was a big PC gamer from about 1999 to 2010 and the early Delta Force games were the really big boxes and then they went to a medium sized box for the later Delta forces, I used to play those a lot and some other big box PC games. I don't know if I have those boxes anymore I don't think I do, 10 or 15 years ago they weren't worth anything they were just old games, I still have the discs and everything though

I think both are a bit far off from grading unfortunately. Where they are sealed looks a touch tough and the boxes have wear. Still pretty crazy to find any big boxes sealed.

I wish my main goodwill was that happy about my picks. The cashier won't even speak to me when I talk about flipping. She hates wrapping my fragile stuff and just seems to dislike when I'm in the store since she found out I pick and flip. A few of them are just slightly interested when I make a good find, more out of curiosity. But flippers are just judged around here.

You didnt make $1000 in one day. You still have to list, sell, pack, ship the item. How much do you value your time? How many hours do you work per day?

I work 30 to 40 hours on the reselling side and around 30 hours on the KZbin side. These finds probably took 4 hours and will probably take 4 hours to put through the sales process of listing, order fulfillment, and inevitable customer service responses. Yes, the new title I used is a little leading and I do encourage everyone to have skepticism when someone claims high dollar amounts. But, I do think this will end up near that amount for close to that amount of time. Edit: I was skimming and read weekly when you asked daily but you can break that down between 7 days to get an idea.

@@MrBill-ee4mr I share your concerns but find there are ***many*** more worthwhile targets of your criticism on YT. With such unpredictable sales prices Dustin refrains from calculating hourly rates like many of the other YT'ers would do. The interesting disclosure in Dustin's video is that he visits the thrift stores multiple times in one day. Heck, in another video he even said that he visited a particular thrift store a couple times a day during a period when they appeared to be rolling out a particularly valuable donation. I suspect *other* YT'ers are paying the stores (via "donation") or even "gifts" to employees for advance knowledge of when especially camera worthy product will hit the floor. Another YT'er found vintage band shirts at a store whose website clearly states give us your want list and we'll find it for you sort of language. YT thrifting videos, dramatic thumbnails and click bait titles, and stupid buys with admiring fan boys & girls in the comments are common. I watch Dustin because on the crucial points, he *appears* to keep it real. But, I have no way of really knowing why the S.A. lady is such a fan of his finds, knows the name of Dustin's channel, and hasn't raised the prices or sold to someone who will give the employee "gifts". It's impossible to know for sure solely by watching a video. Sadly, the thrift stores in the cities I visit could not compete with his finds in Ohio. Dustin's spouse also helps the business but they have mentioned other business ventures (such as rental properties) so I have to respect the hustle and I've never detected the "get rich quick" themes that run through so many channels. You have a point about the hours spent though and are correct for asking. The big variable that the YT'ers aren't disclosing is the number of thrift visits (to ALL stores) they had to make in order to film the hauls that they include in their videos. Many visits produce nothing for resale or are not economically worthwhile.
