Havent used DAT in years. Found their loads posted on TruckStop. Don’t find them all the time, but they are usually pretty good when I do.

Check out Episode 95 for a few walk thru on the truck and 129 for everything issue I’ve had up to the point. Did 160k miles in my first 12 months. Had her for 21 months right now and I’m about to roll 800k miles. 255k of which I have drive myself.

@@alfredoruiz9427 Penske is pretty good with their records from my experience. I’ve got a friend who bought 2 trailers from them a while back and they had service records and everything that they printed out and gave him to keep so as far as a fleet vehicle goes, they are Probably 1 of the better companies to buy from. When I’m buying a truck, I work on a 2 out of 3 type inspection. If the first 2 pass, I can still check the 3rd but probably don’t need to. 1, I look at the exterior and body. Looking for damages, scratches, dents, chips in the pain, rust, cracks in the windshield, anything significant. Anyone can wash a vehicle, but did the last owner or driver take care of it. From a fleet, the drivers usually don’t care about the truck and they usually see a lot of different drivers so judging this way on a fleet vehicle might not work. I also look for shitty repairs. Was it damaged someone and they spray painted it to fix it? 2, I check the interior. I’m looking for bad smells, stains, dog hair, cigarette ash, dirt and mud. Is the fridge clean, is the dash messed up or cracked, Do the lights work? If number 1 and 2 both pass 100%, I probably don’t need to dive deep into the engine. Why, because if a person can take care of something to the highest of detail on the inside and outside... They probably did their part on the engine as well. Like I said tho, it’s a fleet vehicle so it’s harder to tell. But if you were looking at something that was a trade in, knowing how the last owner treated it and lived in it will tell you more about the engine than most inspections will. The first truck I went to see looked great online, but dam this thing had cracks in the bumper and windshields down scratches all over. The wheels were dirty and scratched up too. The inside, man this guy was a smoker and had multiple dogs in the truck. The thing was horrible. If that was the care the last owner took for number 1 and 2... Man I didn’t even care to move to the engine for 3. The truck I have now tho, 1 and 2 passed 100%. I checked the engine a bit but didn’t dive in deep. I took a chance. And, I lucked out. Bought with 544 and I’m rolling 800k next week. I couldn’t have bought a better truck in my opinion. Hope that helps man! And good luck!
