A little bit of both, but it’s honestly hard to say. The intake allowed my tuner to up the power a little more if that makes sense. My tuner also mentioned during my first protune that I was limited to 282 whp and that getting an intake would bring me closer to the 300 mark. I had the delightful experience of playing Tokyo Extreme Racer and later Import Tuner (it's a video game series by Genki) when I was younger. Because of that game, I laugh at some of the people that don't understand this stuff. You want more HP on a turbo powered car? Intercooler, Downpipe, ECU tune, Cold air Intake, Performance exhaust system, suspension mods, transmission improvements (gears, clutches etc), downpipe, so on and so forth. To me, it's obvious. But to a lot of people, that stuff is baffling, really confusing stuff. I knew what parts I needed as soon as I bought my WRX. I knew what I wanted and I knew that I wanted X amount of horsepower. I am halfway there now, Currently making about 275 HP with cold air intake, racing clutch, performance steering rack, pinion, STI shifter stick (stick, NOT transmission. it's still only 5 speeds but I'm alright with it, I dont plan on going too much over 300hp). I mean hell it's already a beast the last few things I gotta do are just intercooler, exhaust, Cobb and an adjustable rear wing. Finally, once that's all finished I will get some body work to remove the scratches on there from the previous owner and get the rear wing painted the same color as the car (its a 2014 Plasma Blue WRX).
@ronfromportland2 жыл бұрын

@@ronfromportland To be honest though I am gonna probably end up pushing it a bit. Looking to do like 300-315 hp depending on how practical it is just with those (as of now not yet aquired) parts and an ECU tune alone.
