It's a good starting point. PVC has a known maximum pressure rating of 400psi. If I was going to try it I would use an actual pressure tank. A regulator is absolutely essential that's one part that cannot and should not be MacGyvered or tampered with.

As a qualified scuba diver... this is horrifying... just buy some used gear, it is cheaper and far safer. You can burst a lung or get the bends as shallow as 2 meters (6.5 feet)

Kid I'm not dissing your tank but do not have the weights attached to it. You need a weight belt with quick release on your waist. If you get into trouble you can drop the weights separate from your tank and body. I can tell you have no experience. Take it from me I have been diving for 40 years and I see your setup as a death trap.

Do not sand PVC fittings. You will weaken the bond., instead, use primer with your solvent. This is not a gluing exercise, rather, this is a solvent welding exercise.

at cost of this setup, you are much better to buy a used scuba rig, if you search, you can fond something for under 150-200$ and even if it,s very old, it will way safer that this rig

Get the engineering down and actually build something that will work. The designs are out there for proper regulators and the like. Graduate to the next league and show us your real talents. Practice makes perfect.

weight belts are used so that you can easily take them off in case of emergency and make a quick ascend. To have them stuck to your body is a VERY bad idea. Also, when you inhale air with a higher pressure then your surroundings you risk to damage your lungs for life!

Maybe once or twice, but the plastic will stretch and weaken every time it is pressurised, then it will burst, blasting plastic shards into someones' face/eyes. Better get agood lawyer !!!

Thats why he used 2 valves. You open 1 about a quarter , and then the one too your mouth about an 8th turn. It works just have to be careful using quick release weights wich ive made. Im putting a air presser regulator on it also. I will go to a real one one day. This idea will be tested in shallow water. Dr. Miller

By my guess if your getting an airsoft tank that is 10×3 with 2500 psi you will get 65 cubic feet of air. ((feet of air 10÷liters of air in a foot 28)average lung cupasity of a man 4.5)÷ breaths per minute 16= time 25.27 But I wouldn't take that to hart.
