The thought of this glitching or disabling mid-corner with your hands off the wheel and causing a head on collision is terrifying.
@phoenixs32 жыл бұрын
isnt that true with any control system though? What happened if a planes autopilot glitched? You do everything you reasonably can to prevent this happening.
@HenryOCarmichaelSmith2 жыл бұрын
@@phoenixs3 planes don't pass this closely or at the same frequency. They also have multiple redundant systems for everything including collision prevention.

Hi Seb, fantastic work, you may have solved the MERC problem! I have a 2012 B-class 180 CDI manual, but without adaptive cruise control or lane assist. So I am stuck without self steering. I do believe my car uses the same EPAS as the smart. Would you be willing to share your ECU design or even sell it? It would solve a lot of cars with EPAS but not lane keep assit (which is basically the entire SA used car market ;). Great video - JP from SA

While i have designed it for my own use and tested extensively, I would really be ha[[y installing in other peoples cars yet as if it goes wrong I am responsible for potentially multiple lives. I would require a little more external funding, time and research to get it to a saleable product.

Very impressive! Out of curiosity, what happens currently when there is little light or rain? And great work on reverse engineering all these OEM ECUs. I was looking for a way to control an iBooster for an EV conversion, so I'm excited to see you found a way. I'll dig into the repositories :)

works in extreme heavy rain, even direct sunlight still very good. the comma driving model is very good. i will be selling a kit to control the ibooster shortly. unfortunately my code isnt open source for that as it took 6 months of development time to crack the ibooster.

Hi Seb, would you be willing to be paid to convert other cars as well? I've been looking at the dodge challengers around 2020 but one of the biggest downsides was the adaptive cruse only works above 30kmh and only has lane keep (not lane centering). Do you think this (or any other year with the V8) can be converted like this?
