haha ya not too bad ! It was only possible because the unit was furnished, I believe the going rent for a unit that size at that time was around $2800/month

When you purchase real estate the money you put into that property through your downpayment becomes equity in that property. As long as you sell for more than you bought, you not only receive your profit from the sale, but also the money you put in originally as a downpayment.
