How I made an Eevee with EVERY Element

How can you create an Eevee with access to every type?
By using a new cloning Glitch and the mechanics of Pokémon Home Rex was able to do just that!
Brought in from Pokemon Scarlet, Vee is able to harness the power of every Eeveelution!

DETAILS ON THE GLITCH:
- As of version 3.0.1 (Jan 31, 2024) Smeargle can no longer use Transform so this glitch is NO LONGER POSSIBLE.
- it may still be possible to connect version 3.0.0 to Pokémon Home
- It seems like Pokémon who sleep in trees cannot be cloned next to normal trees. Testing is needed to see if it is possible with branched trees. (Applin, Rufflet)
- The following changes have been reported as causing Tracker Re-issues: Met Date, Game of Origin, OT. Pokeball doesn’t seem to cause issues.
- I cannot guarantee that accounts partaking in anything depicted in this video will be safe from repercussions or that Pokémon created will not be removed from home in the future.
- Purchased moves from Legends are stored on the Home Tracker

Super happy to provide some footage and info for this video! Worth noting: the game doesn't seem to notice SOME changes. Specifically, caught ball doesn't seem tracked, which is weird, because Caught Date IS noticed. If you want to make your own GMAX unevolved mons, clone a mon with a home tracker, evolve the clone, send it to SwSh, Gmax factor it, send it back to SV and swap it out for the unevolved original. Boom, unevolved gmax mon.

I think the caught Poké Ball isn't tracked because it actually behaves the same as movesets, being individual to each game. Though it's normally set to the same ID for all games (edit: even with the Strange Ball since I believe that's only visual), it's able to differ between them specifically because of an edge case with SwSh where Pokémon in Hisui Balls have their Poké Ball ID for SwSh set to a basic Poké Ball (since the Strange Ball failsafe doesn't exist at all there).

@@TheRedSmarty That's completely correct, and I forgot! Thanks to the existence of Strange Balls and the Hisui region in general, ball data is now stored on a game-by-game basis. Thank you for the reminder!

@@CybernetCatgirl I actually think that the reason is a slight bit different than that. By my understanding of the Strange Ball, it actually prevents the need for the caught ball data being game specific, since I think the games themselves just see an out-of-bounds ball ID and make it behave as a Strange Ball without the actual data being changed. It would be specifically because SwSh doesn't have that kind of system that makes the data being changed there be a requirement.

Glad I could inform you of this glitch, because I definitely wouldn't have thought about this kind of application for it myself! I've been trying to get Kieran's Applin to clone so I can get a Partner Ribbon Hydrapple with Galar's Champion + Tower ribbons, but from what Cyberworldcatgirl and I have observed, it seems like certain species that have special conditions for where they sleep can't be duped with this glitch (for example, it seems like Applin and Rowlet haven't been successfully duped yet, and it might be because they only sleep in tree branches and not on the ground). But if Applin could be duped, you could have your choice of Appletun, Flapple or Hydrapple with Fickle Beam, Apple Acid and/or Grav Apple on the same moveset!

@@alanaustin0399 You'd do it in Scarlet/Violet by moving applin clones into Home, then evolving one into each respective form, depositing it into home again, then withdrawing and depositing a different evo until all the signature moves are rememberable by each evo.

interesting.I tried this with putting Archaludon exclusive moves onto a duraludon and couldn't get it to work because duraludon's moves never changed and I just assumed that it was because I was only using scarlet and violet and not another game. maybe i just did it wrong.@@CannedWolfMeat

I did make some attempts at cloning Rowlet, but was unsuccessful. However, with clones needing to make a "full loop", my plans for a Rowlet harnessing both Spirit Shackle and Triple Arrows (plus Frenzy Plant) seem to be dead anyway since I wouldn't be able to put multiple clones into PLA as a hub rather than SV like you did with Eevee.

Yeah, it seems like most Hisui variants aren’t able to do anything cool with this since only one variant can enter PLA or SWSH. It’s possible to make a cool Scyther by using Scizor and Kleavor tho!

@@SelenaErmatinger No, because the two forms of Decidueye do not exist together in any game except SV, which needs to be the central game all the clones are kept in and cannot have any illegal move combinations.

I wish pokemon made an ability or something that makes eevee able to evolve and devolve like red’s I would pay money for that. YOU HEAR ME POKEMON YES I SAID I WOULD PAY MONEY IK YOU LIKE THE M WORD. So let eevee hold a thunderstone and it’ll turn into jolteon and take it back it’ll be eevee again. At least just give eevee good attacking moves from every type. I want a let’s go eevee and red’s eevee combination.

In the Pokémon Adventures manga Red's Eevee will stop shapeshifting after the events of the first generation, since its friendship with Red lets Eevee evolve into Espeon, freeing it from the elemental stones experiments effects. About Pokémon with Hisuian regional evolutions, cases like a Rowlet which knows Spirit Shackle in Galar but also Triple Arrow in Hisui would be doable, not the same thing but it's better than nothing. Also this could be interesting for any not fully evolved Pokémon that has an evolution with exclusive moves like a Bagon with Fly & Dual Wingbeat.

We actually talked about bagon on stream since it’s Pokédex entry says “it dreams of having wings so it can fly” And yes, Vee becomes Espeon but it feels like it loses some spice at that point

If you read the description we haven’t been able to get it to happen with Pokémon that sleep in trees. It might be possible to clone Applin if you do the trick next to a tree with branches for it to sleep in but that needs further testing

Maybe I’m just missing something. But why couldn’t one Eevee just learn all of the moves in scarlet and violet? Why do you have to use legends and sword and shield?

All the clones start in Scarlet/Violet. If you evolved one of the cloned Eevee into Glaceon in S/V and taught it Ice Beam, you could put it into HOME and it will associate Glaceon's moveset with the tracker. But you have to put the Glaceon back in S/V to take out another cloned Eevee without updating the clone's HOME Tracker, and since said Eevee is coming from S/V, HOME will just import the Eevee's current moveset as the S/V one rather than carrying over Glaceon's (because it sees it as the moveset just being changed during the visit to S/V). The HOME tracker is meant to maintain data that isn't recognized by the game the Pokémon's currently visiting, but will update with changes that said game "can" make. Does that make sense?

Since we can’t sent the same home tracker out more than once it’s impossible for the home tracker to store anything other than legal moves for SV. Right now my only theory for illegal moves in SV would be to clone Koffing through curry but we haven’t been able to successfully do that yet

The original cannot learn any of the moves because it has a different home tracker. The first clone was issued a different home tracker because of changes to caught date and game of origin

There’s one thing I’ve noticed when performing the glitch. If your Pokémon is wide enough, and you position the Smeargle so it clips through the tree when it transforms, it stays in the overworld without fishing for a sleep. You know it’s working if you see the transformed Pokémon being pushed away from the tree. (Edit: With more practice I’ve realized this is incorrect)

I’ve seen Pokémon get pushed without becoming a clone. Though it does seem like bigger Pokémon are easier to have it happen with. The nice thing here is that we can definitely see its possible without needing a large hit box though (Cloning Cosmog first try surprised me)
