So my first puppet wasn’t the best and honestly looks like it has a domesticated hyena and the body looks like a worn out sock 🧦 so I’m now making a new one which is a water dragon that I only have the head sculpt so far, and I’ve done sketches but I only have snapchat so I don’t have any other online things except for KZbin but if you want I could show you on Snapchat

As long as you don't make a direct replica of Tatsuko, sure! Change up the colour or style, find your own character in the design, and good luck!

Heyy, love ur dragon puppet! absolutey beautiful 😍 but how does the body stay on ur shoulders? Mine seems to always fall off my back :( And could you maybe show the inside, where your hand goes to reach the head, through the body sleeve? How did u stuff it so that it looks like a neck, but are able to stick ur hand through there still?

there is a product in the states called dipit that is a great under coat for applying to upholstery foam before painting that will keep from the rub off /wear problem

After seeing this I'm making a dragon puppet of my own,I've made a head,I've got to make the blinking eyes,and instead of using fur as I haven't got the budget,I'm using a material with a scale pattern.I made the head with cardboard,pollystarine and foam from packaging.so I've got to make a body,would it be better to make a body with the material,or make a body from a sheet,then sew the material on?just a thought.so this video and others really gave me inspiration.many thanks😊👌 Edit:since I've made the head of the things I said,I can't really sew it on,so would it be better to glue it on with glue gun,or something else

how much faux fur did you use to make the puppet? im looking into making one and wanna make sure i get enough fur

I purchased 1.5 metres of long white fur fabric, and I think .5 of the short stuff? Although admittedly I could have got away with saving some money and just buying 1 metre of the long stuff and sewing the long belly together as 2 parts.

So if you check out my other video it should mention what I used, but in short: Plastazote for the head, a bedsheet for the body, upholstery foam for the legs, white foam sheets for scales, white fur fabric to cover, ping pong balls for the eyes and plastic tree ornaments for the eyelids, the horns are paper mache over a wire base. Phew!

Did you use a ductape pattern for layering the fur or did you just fo for it? And was it sewn on the head or is it glued seams?

Hiya! If you check out my video on how I made this puppet you can see I did indeed use a duct tape pattern for the head and the feet. I hand sewed the head but ended up hot glueing the fur onto the feet.
