Rarely ever comment on anything but i loved the concept and execution on this. Going to use this as inspiration for my version for our schools production next year. Absolutely Floored by how natural and fluid the movement is. I haven't seen anything else like it great job!

Great job! The fact you made the tentacles longer than most people do ,really gave them a realistic effect as they glided across the floor. Keeping your hair dark instead of the normal white , in my opinion,is a fresh take on the idea and gives it more menacing feel. Amazing job really

Ok, I'm late - I was searching because I want to do this for Halloween, 2022 and I was just about to get ready to purchase one for upwards of $700 off of Etsy. But now I think I'll make my own. The only difference is I will need to figure out how to add the hip padding since I'm a girl, I want it much rounder in the midsection and hips and I can always buy a nice bustier to wear with it. I'm wondering if I can use the skirt overlay and somehow add the padding in that? Maybe with stockings... any thoughts??? BTW, you did an EXCELLENT job on this and thanks for the video showing how you did it!

My apologies that this comment isn't necessarily about _The Little Mermaid_ or your amazing work here, but your audio reminds me of a memory I'd like to share. First, bless you for understanding the need to change the pitch but not the speed of the audio for your "male Ursula." I'm a drag queen and years ago, I was asked to judge a Mr. and Miss Gay Wisconsin preliminary (yes, there is such a thing. For a clarification, in this particular pageant system, the _Misters_ are cisgender gay men and the _Misses_ are Drag Queens. While I believe there are now systems that include titles for drag kings, this was not the case at the time). Just as the drag queens running for the _Miss_ title, the _Misters_ typically perform a lipsync performance for the talent competition. There was but a single contestant running for the _Mister_ title that night and he would have won the title based on that fact alone, but as many spectators pay a cover charge, we still put on a show. Having sat through the scored Interview category done prior to the event with no audience present, I considered the young man very fortunate to have no competition because there was no way in hell he would have won otherwise. He wasn't local, but the rules don't require one to be. The worst response he gave when answering a question proved _he couldn't even pronounce the name of the town we were in at the time,_ which was coincidentally the same name of the title he'd be wearing the sash for at the pageant's conclusion. As I was the one judge that actually _lived_ there, I found it insulting that he couldn't even be bothered to have done even the most basic homework. Then came the talent portion. Good God. As both a nightclub deejay and a performing drag artist, I was well-versed in basic audio editing. We often make our own montages that feature several songs with humorous dialogue connecting them. The basic software was widely available at the time should one need it. Most of the _Mister_ contestants generally chose to perform a song or montage with male vocals. This only makes sense as they're not in drag; they're literally competing as men. Once again, this young man decided to shake off common sense and when his audio started playing and he stepped onstage, I had to bite my tongue to stifle laughter. He had chosen to lip sync to Jennifer Hudson's rendition of "And I Am Telling You I'm Not Going" from the recently-released _Dreamgirls_ film. To give a brief bit of exposition, this song is a drag classic almost to the point that I've jokingly said there's something of an unspoken rule that requires every drag queen to perform it at least once in their career, much like all Muslims are required to make at least one pilgrimage to Mecca in their lifetime. And while the Jennifer Hudson rendition of the song was perfectly respectable, it was originally recorded by the amazing Jennifer Holliday, who to this day holds the top spot in most "Best Broadway Musical Performances of All-Time" lists. Thus, while choosing Hudson's recording wasn't a faux pas, it took a lot of nerve for someone to attempt it in front of the older performers for whom Holliday's is revered as Holy. With that one strike against it, the worst fact about this performance was that in performing as a man, the contestant decided he had to manipulate the audio to make the vocal deeper. This can be done by altering the pitch, much like you have in the audio at the beginning of this video. It was profoundly unfortunate that the contestant didn't understand the concept and instead decided to *slow the audio down to half its original speed.* This made the vocal much deeper for him to lip sync to, but it also stretched the song from five minutes to just under TEN minutes. Ten minutes! Ten minutes of a song just about everyone in the nightclub had seen done infinitely better by drag queens. Ten minutes is a ridiculously long amount of time to expect a drinking audience to pay attention to. And though myself and the other judges couldn't hide our disdain, we all had to patiently sit through the mess. It felt like we were stuck in the worst _Saturday Night Live_ sketch imaginable or on one of those hidden camera shows just baiting us to lose the little bit of patience we had remaining. We were _also_ drinking, after all. And thank God for _that._ Luckily, we all remained courteous even as we put the sash over his shoulder, thus naming him as our city's representative in the state pageant later in the year. I couldn't even bring myself to care about whether he actually competed or not, but I'm happy to say I never saw him again. I'm certain he's happy for that as well - though we were obligated to give him the title strictly by default, I had an indispensible tool to read him to filth as I would have done in every other situation: As a judge, we offer constructive criticism on each contestant's scoresheets. I made my opinions of his inabilty to pronounce the city's name and the gall it took for him to expect to expect _any_ audience to slog through ten-minutes of him murdering a beloved song. Sigh. Good times. Thank you for reading this in its entirety and if you have, I hope you feel it hasn't robbed you of too much time.

thanks for sharing your story : ] . In the video, I did sing the song, but the audio was so crappy I figure I should just do an audio overlay, and, of course, like i you mentioned I turned down the voice to match the gender bend that I did for the character. Ever since I was a little kid or see which with my hero.

Two large square sheets of the same black 100% polyester of the tentacles. Had one come from my back fold over to the front of my waist and sewed it to the shirts. And then did the same button in reverse from front to back..
