Here's how I made my real spider man web shooters. It can really grab stuff and have to shoot back to your wrist. I made it using just a retractable badge reel and some magnets.

Badge reel I used (I don't recommend this one tho its to strong for this project): www.amazon.com...

The Idea for this video came from Braden Smith's web shooters

You could use a different shape magnet that would be more sleek Modify it so the magnet may be held in place close to the device and have a release button to release it via spring loaded latch Could modify the internals with a ratchet sort of system so if you work out a device on the palm, it will allow the string to extend, without retracting, so you may have more time to manouver it to grab what you need

I just finished making one of my own and here’s what I have to say to everyone wondering how they can too… 1. DON’T buy the staples badge reels shown at the beginning of the video if you plan on using the 3D model file that he attached in the description. Use the Matte Black version of the badge reel he linked 2. The watch strap width is 20 mm to fit perfectly with the 3D print 3. You may need to use more or less of the magnets that he shows in the video (2) depending on what string/material you use inside of the badge reel Hope this helps!!!

Without using an electric motor to retract it or making it very time consuming to reload after each shot you really can’t sadly. The amount of power you’d need from the spring to shoot the dart out far enough to hit anything before the spring winds it back up would be super difficult if not impossible. Either your spring would be so strong and stiff you wouldn’t be able to load it, or the coil that retracts the dart would have to be very weak, but no matter what you’d run into issues that can’t really be solved mechanically. I’ve tried figuring this out myself working on this and another similar prop, but sadly there’s just no good answer without using electronics
@filmsproduction9118
@filmsproduction9118 2 жыл бұрын
@@artsy_dragon_creations some one named shauns crafts made a web shooter that can shoot and retract simply by using a notch that prevents the string from retracting while being shot until the string gets pulled witch releases the notch thus making the bullet retract.check my version out.

Hey, I've really been into webshooters and I used to use spring powered ones but realized badge reels are a much more durable and easier option. I tried making a Webshooter just like yours with a normal badge reel. I couldn't throw it out like you said. I found your video and heard you tall about the badge reel being strong. How did you make the badge reel weaker or slower? I tried a couple different ways and none of them worked.
@advancedinventions1822
@advancedinventions1822 2 жыл бұрын
Sometimes the spring in it is just really strong and that’s stopping it for going out easily. But what I’ve found really helps is having pretty heavy magnets attached to the end if the magnets aren’t that heavy you can struggle to throw it out.
