@@Built_IRL Organic Shooters are more reliable, Mechanical Shooters are more adaptable. In the 2017 Spiderman animated series we saw both Mechanical and Organic shooters in use. Peter and Miles use mechanical shooters after being bitten. Anya and Gwen used organic ones after being temporarily exposed to an Air-borne Spider Virus along with the entire city (it was a whole thing), they were the only ones to keep their spider powers. Cindy uses organic shooters which is weird since she was bitten by the same spider as Peter, Miguel uses organic shooters according to comics and Venom creates his own strands.

@PtylerBeats10 ай бұрын
Or maybe, because it’s a movie, they can just make it work with your mind. So you can’t accidentally set it off because it shoots when you want it to shoot. It’s not like they NEED a mechanically accurate device that works exactly how we would make it irl
@soviut30310 ай бұрын
@@PtylerBeats I know it isn't necessary, but comics and movies often go into detail on mechanical plausibility. For example, they'll show how Wolverine's claws work in an X-ray, or Tom Holland's costume will have arm bands a button in each palm. What I'm saying is I wouldn't be surprised if a comic artist picks this up and runs with it as an official way for one of the spiderman variants to shoot webs.

There is no adhesive strong enough to hold a human, especially during a swing, the point of having a grappling rope is to provide a secure and reliable connection, if you added something sticky to it, it wouldn't work, it would just stick to itself during the launch or even if it did stick to stuff it wouldn't be able to hold any weight
@SamLeroSberg10 ай бұрын
@@TheRealestBubby Well. In my mind, the swinging is fiction. But the slinging webs to the faces of bad guys? Yeah that's rad.
@Built_IRL10 ай бұрын
Maybe! I think the two big challenges with that are the size of each web, and having it stick quickly and securely without being able to press down the hot glue pad at a distance. So I'll tackle my remaining issues, and if Joel can solve his too then we'll be in business!
@AmanStudios10 ай бұрын
@@SamLeroSberg Thats awesome to hear! I was also thinking instead of having multiple shots wouldn’t it be better if you could just retract the web after each shot and therefore have infinite swings? The motor wouldn’t have to be strong enough to hold your weight, just enough to retract the rope.

DUDE, your design is basically what has been missing in a design of my own that I've been thinking about for a while now, this is amazing, and exactly what I needed, I've been trying to make an effective web-shooter for over a year, but I couldn't think of a way so that I could release the high pressures in a quick way like this, I had stopped my project since 2021 because I got stuck on that issue. Now I just need to find a way for the fibers to occupy less space in the launcher and I think I could finish my design for an amazing web-shooter. By then my only solution was to have a backpack filled with like, 10 liters of liquid silk inside, so not great progress. Well, that and I probably need a way not to deslocate my wrists while swinging my whole body weight at terminal velocity, but that's just a minor detail. WRISTS GET CURED, but the pain of a lost opportunity never quite goes away.

So this is a crazy idea, but you are using pressurized air as your "web fluid". What if the web line was tubing instead of string? And the end of the web is a vacuum pump. Jlazer did a video where vacuum pumps can be strong enough to climb buildings with. Because of that, if you made that the end of a web you shot, it would actually make the web sticky. Sucking the air in to stick (like a suction cup) would also double as a way to fill up the the tank for the pressurized shooter. And to retract it, all you would have to do is turn off the vacuum, making the web reusable. And one on each hand makes them swingable. Add a motor for automated reloading and. . . you might just have something. Vacuumsuction makes it air-tight, so it would even work on cloth. The big issue would be weight and powering the thing. But that's what makes it scifi superhero tech.
