Beautiful and creative idea! Just swap the fish for some smaller inhabitants like a couple shrimp and snails and you're good!

Wow this is lovely 🥰 may I suggest if the box was a inch or half inch deeper you could put some aqua soil in the bottom then some river sand witch is courser little bits of grit in it, then a few rooted plants to help filter, no cleaning just top ups, a little filter floss in with the pump or little sponge to also filter, it’s truly beautiful you’ve inspired me to do one I will add a couple of shrimp & snails too, rice fish look lovely I build eco systems from little jars up to tanks & loving it Thank you from England ❤️

Cool display, however that species of Cichlid grows to 6 inches. They are not a good choice for such small amount of water volume and won't survive long term.

I don't think the fish know how to get out. Im sad bc i feel bad for the little guys. 😔😒 the structure is just dag on awesome!! Maybe try putting in brine shrimp.... that would totally be amazing to see them in the aquarium part!!!

@@mlakuaesmallgarden Those are not betta fish though, and this is a clearly uncycled tank, the fish seemed stressed in the clear part. Could you post a video of how the fish are doing today??

​@@mlakuaesmallgarden Betta fish shouldn't be kept in small environments either... Cool water feature without the fish though. Cool on a bigger scale as well. I've seen this done with two full size tanks.

Fish abuse, all your other stuff is great, no need to put fish in conditions like that though, theyll be dead in a few weeks.
