Very inspiring! And so detailed -- so cool. Do you have a tip where to buy plants? E.g. the two Elaphoglossum I couldn't find ..
@AnotherWorldTerraria Жыл бұрын
At this time I generally don't recommend specific sources for plants because there are many sources and many types of plants, so each case varies, but most of my sources are just hobbyists and smaller or private vendors. It also depends where you live. Please check out www.anotherworldterraria.com/faq/#plant-sourcing which is a general summary of the types of sources I use, and has tips on how to build a network of sources for yourself. There are not any specific vendors listed there though. Following the suggestions might help you eventually uncover some sources that work for you. I hope that helps!

Amazing build! I've been thinking of doing this too but vertically. For a tall tank that I have, maybe like a tree? Not sure how it would work but thanks for the info 👍
@AnotherWorldTerraria Жыл бұрын
Thank you. The one you're thinking about is the branch vivarium by Mikael (I think he owns or at least works for Dusk Tropic). I came up with my idea before I saw his work (as noted in my video), but I did find a lot of inspiration and learning from his project and photos. You could definitely do a vertical tree trunk terrarium.
@dshobe720 Жыл бұрын
Always like your art! I've been doing similar things with ceramic (glass) tile terrariums using my native North Carolina mosses, liverworts, and ferns. I like adding 1/4 inch drains so I don't have to siphon off excess water. Have you used clay in any of your designs yet? I've found it grows ground mosses well on walls.
@AnotherWorldTerraria Жыл бұрын
Thank you! I wanted to use a bulkhead drain in the tank but that would have required a custom stand and I couldn't spend the money for find the space for that. Yes, I used clay in my Crown Forest terrarium. kzbin.info/www/bejne/n3iYaGimpZ2dnbc

Thanks. Yes, manual spraying when it needs it, drenching the branch heavily. Sealed lid to keep it humid always.
@colossuses Жыл бұрын
Great setup. I'm gonna try this.. Why not foam the pipe strsight to the Cork?
@AnotherWorldTerraria Жыл бұрын
Thanks. If you mean spray the foam and attach the PVC and the wood right then with the foam, the reason why not is because it would be impossible to control the foam thickness and shape, or to prevent the wood from being displaced.

Awesome work! I'm really interested what's the care regimen like? You said it's sealed and has a fan. Is misting done by hand only? Is the fine mist only for effect or is it on continuously?
@AnotherWorldTerraria Жыл бұрын
misting by hand with a pump sprayer, often enough to keep the top moss and plants moist. I do it heavily enough to saturate the entire thing so all the moss and branch is dripping water down.

@davidbaydush2813 Жыл бұрын
@@AnotherWorldTerraria do you also keep a fogger running in it? Or just open and mist it?
@AnotherWorldTerraria Жыл бұрын
I don't have a fogger running usually. I just do it occasionally, tbh because it looks cool. I just open it to water. Nisting by hand with a pump sprayer, often enough to keep the top moss and plants moist. I do it heavily enough to saturate the entire thing so all the moss and branch is dripping water down.
