Whereas other ppl doesn't care at all and charge to 100% every time and after 2 years their battery capacity drops to 80%. BATTERY HEALTH TIPS 1. Charge overnight 3:48 Sweet spot: 50% - 80% 2. Use Optimized Battery Charging 6:15 3. Avoid the Heat 6:58 4. Avoid the Cold as well! 7:20 5. Choose the right case 7:36 6. Stick with OEM chargers 8:08 7. Use Wireless Charging sparingly 9:00 *Avoid fast charger as well 8. Consider replacing battery 10:01 EDIT: I have researched how to prolong the life of your gadget's battery (phone, laptop, tablet, etc.) and I found out that you should NOT OVERCHARGE it because it exhausts the battery charging cycles. When the certain battery charging cycles get all used up, that's when your battery starts to degrade. MY PERSONAL ADVICE (RESEARCH MORE): You should NOT OVERCHARGE your phone or any gadget you have. If you have AT LEAST 80%, you should now unplug your charger.

Not a single time I charged it to 100 neither did I drain it to 0. I only charged it to 78-80 and start charging at around 50. Slow charged it for an hour everyday.that’s how I maintained mine. It wasn’t practical but I enjoyed the longer lasting battery until the end of the year. Tomorrow I’m getting a 13 pro, gonna do the same maintenance because im planning to keep it for a couple of years.

Here are some tips that I use to keep my battery health up to 100. Mind you, I’ve had my phone for almost 5 months now. - Try charging your phone 1/2 a day - Have dark mode on at all times - Only put your brightness up if needed - Turn off notifications for apps not needed - Don’t let your phone get under 10 percent - Don’t let your phone die - Turn off backup refresh - Don’t let your phone get too hot or too cold

My Xr is almost 3 years old now, battery health is at 95%. I only charge on a wireless charger during the day, try to never let it charge over 90% and it’s rarely gotten below 30% charge. My watch series 4, which is right about 3 years old now is also at 95% battery health which I also try to never charge to 100%. The killer to me seems to be leaving it on the charger all night long plugged in as most people do.

Hey Brandon Butch, first of all, thanks for the videos - this one and also the "30+ Tipps to improve battery life" video. I watched them both twice by now but there are a few things, that I don't quite understand. Maybe you can explain it a little more: 1. On the one hand, you say "Don't always quick charge" - but on the other hand you say, it's better for battery health to quick charge because the battery has less charging stress because it's recharged faster. So....what exactly is better now and why? 2. You recommend just to charge the phone whenever possible, and there would be no reason not to charge it, because it kind of prevents charging cycles because the battery is being kept at 100%. Only thing is to limit usage while the phone is on the charger, so the battery won't get too hot. But on the other hand, you recommend not to charge the phone when it is on more than 80%. Sooooo....should I unplug it as soon as it reaches 80%?? Or what exactly is better now and why?? 3. You recommend to always charge the phone over night. But not to charge the phone when over 80%. But when I keep the phone on the cable during the day, it is most likely not below 80% when going to bed, so shall I unplug it during the night or what? I don't get it... so I better DON'T charge over night then??? Maybe you can go into detail a little. That would be great. Thanks!

None of these will help you to maintain 100% battery health. These LiPo batterys lose capacity with an increasing amount of cycles, it's normal. These tips can help to slow this process down, but they won't keep it from happening. Your battery will fall under 100 % after a couple of months and it will fall under 90% after one to two years.

Yeah, I got 11 Pro Max, put it on chinese knockoff wireless charger daily, many times, even to get from 80 to 100, I don't care. Never charged it with anything else. I use unofficial Speck case. It's been exactly 2 years I have the phone and the battery condition is 88%. And 11 Pro Max is a battery beast, so I don't notice any battery drop anyway. If I pass the phone on someone else in the family I might replace for a new battery if they are heavy users. But typically you lose water resistance that way, and we already drowned iPhone 7 in a plastic bag at the beach like this.

When I see my battery at 30% above I just let it be and then tend to charge it at office the next day. I also never used the low battery mode. I actually noticed that the low battery mode which I used everyday on my 6s may have also affected the battery health. I don’t use my phone while its charging, only when needed like replying to messages and answering calls. Plus, let it rest once or twice a day. Elaine hey there sorry just read your message, I think I jinxed it lol couple of days ago it dropped one percent to 99 (and I am so sad about it), my tips would be to: 1. Keep your battery percentage level around 40%-80% (charge it before it goes below 39% and unplug it before it went 81%) 2. Always use the original charger that came in the box 3. Never use powerbank, unless it’s emergency or sort of (idk about wireless charging never tried it so far) 4. Don’t charge overnight (not because it’s gonna harm the battery but because it prevents you to do one full cycle charge which would cost the battery life a lot) 5. I always turn the Low Power Mode on unless when the phone is charging (idk I just feel when turning it off while charging the phone makes it faster) 6. I always turn the airplane mode on because I spend most time of the day at home and I got WiFi, so yeah no need to use the cellular signal and stuff (because no one is calling and texting me too lol) 7. And yeah the last thing is life is actually too short and too complex already to worry about battery health, unless you’re a perfectionist like me, then you got to be very careful and loving with your phone. Hope this could help a bit :)

Summary (save some time- Watch the video for a better understanding though) : 1. Charge overnight (Controversial). (If the battery is around 40-60%. Maintaining it around 60-80% is the best) 2. Use optimized battery charging. 3. Avoid extreme heat conditions. (Direct Sunlight, etc. It affects the physical capacity of the battery) 4. Avoid extreme cold conditions. 5. Choose the right case. (Heat dissipation- remove the case while charging if necessary- When and if the phone heats up) 6. Stick with OEM chargers. (Or buy a new one from a trusted seller- Anker, etc. DO NOT go for a cheap charger) 7. Use Wireless and fast charging sparingly. (Causes a rapid rise in temperature) 8. Consider replacing the battery. (Every 3 years or so- Around 80% capacity)

My iPhone XS Max’s battery health is at 100% normal peak performance. I usually keep my battery at around 80 - 100% and charge it constantly. I rarely charge it overnight but I do use a fast charger and a charging case. I’ve had it since September 2018.

My Apple IPhone is at 95%. Every 2 months or so, it goes down by 1% each time. Not sure if that’s normal because when it was at 100%, it last for like 1 year and 6 months before it went down to 98%.

Charge your phone from 35%-99%, not 100, turn off backround app refresh for apps you don’t use, don’t use low power mode, wifi calling on, don’t charge over night( you won’t notice the problem until after 6 months of use of phone), keep it away from really low and high temperatures Lol summarized the video your welcome my 7+ at 95% after 4 years haha

It used to be that if you treated a phone battery poorly, you would get a very short lifespan (sometimes as low as 6 months). Nowadays, with the advanced battery management features on iPhones, batteries routinely last 2 years regardless of how well you treat them. I just factor in a battery replacement every two years. It's pretty cheap to do, even at the Apple store and means you don't need to remember any of the things mentioned in this video.

I have been charging my phones overnight for as long as I can remember, even if they were above 85%. I want to make sure when I pick it up in the morning, it will have 100% battery. One time, back in the days of Android 4.4, my S5 Mini had sheep dreams and drained the whole battery overnight and woke up for school at 3% battery left. Since that day, leaving everything plugged in overnight. PS. Iphone 8 - since March 2019/ battery health 96%.
