About the thriller books, you’re absolutely right. My favorite genre is mistery and thriller books so I read A LOT of them, and my tabs are basically just for hints or clues and plot twists. Or when I’m reading a book with a LOT of characters that are all suspects, I like to keep track of each one of them. 💜

Sometimes I just get so captivated by the thrill of it all and I forget to put tabs😅 at least I only have a few categories!😂

Wise words from Dez❤ As someone who has only been annotating for a little over a year, I remember being SO nervous to get started after seeing all these pretty books with tabs and notes and knowing that’s what I wanted to do but being so scared to mess it up. Even after getting a kit that spelled out the basics for me (from the one and only Dez of course) still not starting for fear of doing it wrong. Then I remember reading this ONE book and reading this ONE sentence and BAM. I knew then and there, this was the book that would start my journey and I just had to do it. Here I am a year later and though I still don’t think it’s perfect, it’s for me and it makes me so happy to see ALL the books I’ve annotated since that day. Even if no one else gets it or understands why I tabbed or wrote what I wrote, I’m proud of myself and I know I’ll only ever get better the more I do it. Truly, if you want to annotate your books, just do it. Don’t let anything hold you back ❤❤ it’s well worth it 😊

One of the tips i give to every that some "coughs" YOU said in the tabbies discord, "when annotating try to write in it like you would a journal or a diary" That i always have in my head since you said that.
