Want to know how to make fermented applesauce? Here is the simple way I make and preserve apple sauce using healthy probiotics! You can try canning or freezing applesauce, but fermentation makes magic. Check out this video and give it a try.
Fermented Applesauce as a slight effervescence and full apple flavor. More nutritious than cooked applesauce, this applesauce is raw and needs no added sugar.
In this video, I use a live cultured whey as a starter for this ferment. You can also leave this out and just do a wild fermentation. I have done this many times and yielded a great final product. Adding the live whey just helps kick start the party for the healthy bacteria, and leaves less chance that your ferment will become moldy.
