Have you tried the clip on earring converters for stud earrings? You don't have to snap off the backs of the hoop earrings😊
@aprilp21484 жыл бұрын
It’s a different way to do that I get converters though Amazon and they have it where you can put your post and dangle earrings and and than you aren’t creating extra work for you to do. When you have tons of earrings like you do and I do it can be a lot of extra work for sure. The dangles have a plastic back after going through the converters and studs don’t need a back because the converter is the back. As far as your clip on earrings hurting they can be adjusted I had to do all mine that way too. There’s a KZbin video on how to adjust them. It’s always great to see others have different idea’s on how to convert them though Thanks for sharing.

Just a little tip. When your ready to glue the earring to the clip, first add a little hot glue then the E-6000 glue. The hot glue helps it to adhere right away, while the e-6000 glue dries. Great ideas.

A little more expensive but a little easier to convert is you can buy earing converters from Hobby Lobby and then just stick the little metal wire piece into the barrel thing. Works with studs but they don't look as good as dangly ones. Six of these converter things cost $4 at hobby lobby so quite a bit more expensive.
@jessicacemprola54304 жыл бұрын
Very creative solution to a common problem!! Some helpful tips from a jewelry making hobbiest: The rings are called jump rings and they are weakened when you spread them open the way that you did. Try opening them by twisting it to the side. They sell flat back clip on blanks that would eliminate a few of your steps for a lot of those studs. There are some specialized jewelry glues that will hold up better than e6000 if regluing starts to bother you. Nothing I've said is meant to criticize you. I just hope you find something helpful. I think you did an awesome job!

Thank you soooooo so much for this video! I also had my ears pierced when I was young (about 8 I think) and wasn’t very responsible out of lack of knowledge and I wore a pair of pearl earring 24 hours a day 7 days a week. I don’t even remember how long I had them in for but eventually one of my brothers noticed that the earrings didn’t look right so I took them off and had giant holes in my ears. My ears had unfortunately had a reaction to the cheap metal and started to push the earrings almost completely out of my ear on one side and about 3/4 of the distance on the other. My ears healed so the the holes are closed but I now have visible divets in my ears where the hole had been. Needles to say I haven’t gotten my ears re pieced even though I am now 15. I haven’t really worn clip on earrings at all either but I recently wanted to get some after seeing really cute pair of normal earrings, but was surprised at the lack of variety. I knew there had to be a way to convert them and I found this video, it was SUPER helpful thank you!

Hi McKenzie. Thank you for such an informative and helpful video. Although I own tons of clip-ons, it's nice to have this additional option. My favorite clip is the screw-back clip-on type because of how easily you can adjust them to your comfort without accidentally breaking them. I buy the majority of them now from Amazon because of the wide variety of styles with the screw-back clip. Now with your video, I can convert all my other clip-ons to screw-backs as well using a similar method to what you showed in the video. Thanks again for this video. Your channel is great!

Just found your channel, you are adorable. I think it's super sweet you and your dad have a little project you can do together. Anywhere I had the same issue with my piercings. I never thought about clip ons because they were always hideous lol. Then I realized we can make any earrings clip ons. As far as the glue...would it work if you used a led/uv nail or gem glue and cured it? You would be able to hold it with the needle nose pliers so it would be straight. They also make thicker viscosity gel that's colored, so that may help camouflage it.
