I'm not going to say what I usually do because I've said it far too much which Risa knows, lol. I will say this is yet another great tutorial for those of us with hooded, sagging eyelids. Every time I'm successful with my shadow application I always say to myself "Risa would be so proud". May sound corny but your techniques have taught me so much. When I think back to all of those yrs I didn't wear makeup, when I had taut, smooth, lots of lid space yrs thanks to you I don't beat myself up too much. Thanks yet again Risa...

I've seen so many "tutorials for hooded down turned eyes" and was about to pass on this one because....not to seem hypocritical....Risa must be way too young to be able to relate so someone of my "mature" age. But something told me to watch anyway even though the other videos I watched didn't make much of a difference. WELL OMG!!!! This tip with the tape is like nothing I've ever seen results like before! BRILLIANT! (I may need to take out stock in tape now! lol) I'm retired but the difference is so amazing that even in lockdown and being home, I make sure my eyes are done each day and it helps me emotionally to see myself in a whole new light! Not only that none of these, in my opinion, ever looked slightly like not hooded anymore but I don't grudge over my hooded eyes. Great video. I love the idea of using tape. I've seen other people suggest that you hold something up to your eye like a piece of paper held on a slant but this is way easier and frees up both hands.

I remember growing up and my biggest compliment was my eyes. They were big, round, down turned, and of course as a child didn't look so hooded. Of course we don't stay children and with age the started looking less round and more hooded. What I love best about my eyes are there blue turquoise color, what I dislike is age just emphasizes the hoodedness more & more. This was an excellent tutorial and one I will definitely try. I’ve been doing something similar to this that I’ve seen you do in previous videos and it’s made such a huge difference. My eye shape is similar to yours, not quite as hooded but definitely hooded and quite down turned and this technique makes my eyes look sooo much better. I was looking at old photos last night and came across some when I was 20 years old (so 21 years ago 🥺) and omg my eyes looked so down turned and not very flattering at all. I thought I must have looked so much better and prettier at that age vs now but no, I look much better now. My boyfriend even agreed. Obviously I didn’t have great makeup skills back then lol
