I wouldn't automate the volume faders (i automate fruity balance instead) but the kick sounds nice, which is the most important thing.

I've almost perfectly copied the EQ for the mid punch but I'm getting something that sounds nothing like yours. Is there anything else you did on the mid punch EQ to get it to sound that way?

@@matthewmihaljevic3431 it happens, had that a few times too - have you made sure the settings on the right side of the EQ match too (make especially sure the dots at the top of the Volumefaders Param-EQ are exactly the same)

I had the same problem - I found out that you can change the key frequency. If you press the right mouse button on one of the moving poles in the middle, "key" is displayed. There you have to select a pitch and choose a high frequency. For example one with over 1000hz. Then it worked for me!

I'm more into old school euphoric kicks but this video is still helpful. Do you always have to separate crunchy tail and bass (either in rawstyle or soft euphoric kicks)? Also, how come some kicks pitch better than others? Sometimes I make a decent kick but then when I pitch it it doesn't sound good (and often loses bass)

Like could you not have left the kick like at 2:26, without cutting lows and adding a separate sub? It seems the subby kicks are more part of the modern piepy style?

@@jlc5271 You probably pitch the kick to a wrong note. It needs to be the same note as your melody (bassline). And yes, while making a kick, seperate the sub/crunchy tail. You can be way more creative this way.

you just have to boost more poles of the eq in the mid frequencies, you can see that there are 3 different "dots" boosted on the mids

@@loixxdfk you see at 0:58 on the right of the eq, there are those lines, which boost the dBs for each frequencies, and then there are the gray dots on those lines, that you have to raise at max value. after you done that, you have to move all the points to the same position in the low mids.
