Might include the suggestion to use belly leather to avoid all the notching. Belly leather forms well and holds it shape as good as any other leather.

Since this video was done 5 years ago you didn't show what you soaked the leather in to get it soft
@Brummiejohn2002 жыл бұрын
Hi Dale it's was just water and you soak until no more bubbles are coming out of the leather about 5 mins, hope this helps, atb John.

Thanks for an excellent instructional video. I particularly appreciate the absence of annoying music. I seldom click a “like” button. Yours is the exception.

What dye are you using to achieve that color? I'm using fiebings dark Brown. Which is nice but not the color I'm looking for.

How long do you leave the leather piece in the mold before removing? Thanks for the video.
@Brummiejohn2007 жыл бұрын
I leave it for about 2-3 hours then take the leather from the mould It will dry a lot quicker out of the mould but be careful when you take it out.
@WShawn7 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the reply. Do you just use water? There's an Instructables tutorial where the guy is using alcohol and water.
