How I Make Printables for Etsy EASY and FREE | Etsy Digital Downloads

Hey everyone! It is 1 am as I write this description, and my cat is walking all over me trying to bite my fingers off and driving me insane. Did any of us really think that making my uploads less frequent I would be more on top of things??? It IS my last week of school, and I have three papers due, which semi-explains my behavior. Weekly vlog coming this Sunday :)
In today's video I walk you through my entire process of making digital planner pages for my etsy store, entirely using GOOGLE SLIDES.Yes, that's right! I use google slides to make all of my digital products that I sell, and I love it! I hope I can teach you something in this video.

Something to note when dealing with color: make sure your document is set to CMYK not RGB to help colors come out closer to design; also if switching between files use the hex code for color matching to avoid having to recolor when composited. Even if the colors look different between screens the hex code will ensure congruency.

@@sihintas5336 I meant that mostly as a general note. Since slides is mostly meant for digital use and most don't care about strong color accuracy I don't think you can change the color gamut

Hi there! I use Canva and Illustrator to create my printables which you could save them as JPEG or PDF - just other options to consider as well! Hope that helps? :)

Aw thank you! I'm glad the video was helpful! I do printable stickers on my Etsy, and I just illustrate the sheets in Procreate on my iPad and add the text in phonto for that. I don't bring slides into the mix for those just because it's easier for my workflow.

Have you tried to use procreate to make the printables? It’s so easy to make straight shapes, you can make custom guides and you can import fonts! There’s so many cool features I think if you learned procreate a little more you’d cut your make time in half!

I didn't know you could save Google Slides as pdfs. That's really useful. Wouldn't it be good if there was some way to make them customizable so for example customers could ask for their name to be on them, or perhaps a selection of colour schemes.
